She climbed into her bedroom window that she left unlock and he climbed in after her. She seemed a little dizzy as she slowly walked towards her bed. She sat on the edge of her bed still visibly shaken up by what had happened. He leaned against her wall beside the bed and kept his eyes on her, as he ran his hand through his hair.
"we have to call them.." she spoke up suddenly.
"you read the note," he warned, "no police.
"we can't just not tell anyone.." she whispered after a moment.
"who do you suggest we tell then, Christina." he mocked, "sure as hell can't be the cops."
She looked up at him and responded with, "if we call them and tell them they can help us...whoever did this won't be able to get to us then"
He ran his hand through his hair again before telling her, "that's not how this works, Christina."
"how does it work then if you know it all, Brad!" she said.
"I'll tell you how it works." he said in a low tone as he leaned off the wall and calmly walked towards the edge of the bed where she was.
"if we call em', who knows how long it's gonna take for them to get this guy" he explained, "they can't keep us safe forever unless you wanna stay in your house for the rest of your life"
"even then this guy could just swoop in, and take you out just like that." he warned her.
She knew he kinda got her there, but still, she stayed staring up at him without looking away.
"you get it now?" he asked her.
She looked away and fixed her hair a little before asking, "so what do we do?.."
"we go where he wants you to go." he said while taking out the note and holding it up.
"we're not going to do that.." she looked back up at him and said, "he wants me to go alone...I'm not going alone!"
"I know you're not." he said, "...he doesn't gotta know I'm there."
"what if he tries to kill me!" she asked, "what then?"
"he's won't...if he wanted to, it would've been you laying out there on the street."
She went quiet and stared at him as her eyes began to water. He saw that what he said bothered her.
"look I'm sorry, all I'm saying is that if he wanted to he already would've." he told her, "he's gotta just be messing around with you now."
"that so doesn't makes any sense.." she complained, "he did already try to kill me the other night and he totally blew it."
"it just doesn't make sense as to why he thinks of this as fun all of a sudden.." she went on with tears in her eyes.
" that's probably what he wanted to do before." he told her, "but after seeing you weren't just some dumb blondie who he could kill just like that, he figured he could drag this out as long as he wanted to." he explained.
"some dumb blondie.." she mocked, "what's that even supposed to mean...like does he think that I'm just pretty or stupid?" she asked a little bit offended.
"..and you're saying all of this, yet you don't even know the guy, so how could you possibly know how he thinks..." she asked, bringing up a good point.
He scoffed a little and then said, "it's not that complicated, you've seen all that he's done and you still think he's not doing what I just said he is."
