Chapter 6:

"Thank you for this, Pansy." nakangiting itinaas ni Silas ang binili kong B'lue sa kaniya.

I heard Hugo phone vibrate.

I had opted for a casual yet stylish outfit for the day. I was wearing a pair of short shorts that were comfortable and perfect for the warm weather. The shorts were paired with a white off-shoulder top, which was both breezy and fashionable. The light fabric of the top allowed my skin to breathe, and the color complemented my tan, making my skin appear even brighter and more radiant.

"Huh?"

"We've got 108 steps to conquer before we reach the falls." aniya kaya nauna ng maglakad si Raelyn na sinundan nina Hugo and Marco.

To my horror, 108 step nga yon pababa, at nong nasa baba na kami.

The view that greeted us made the effort worthwhile.

We were met with twin waterfalls, each cascading gracefully into a pool of clear blue water. The falls created a mist that was both enchanting and mesmerizing.

It's funny to think that I initially believed 'Mag-aso' might refer to a dog, given the name. However, Hugo clarified that 'Mag-aso' actually comes from the Hiligaynon word 'aso,' which means smoke. The name reflects the mist rising from the falls, not a canine connection.

So, to access the falls, you will need to climb down a set of stairs with about 108 steps.

"Picture-an kita?"

He was wearing a white photo tapos khaki short.

Aside from my own desire to have plenty of photos, I also wanted him to take some of me.

Marami akong shots don.

Among all the photos he took, the one that caught my attention was a candid shot where I was facing the camera and laughing. The spontaneity of the moment made it incredibly appealing. In the background, the majestic falls were clearly visible, framing the photo perfectly. Even though it was a half-body shot, what truly made it special was the way my genuine smile took center stage.
