Danica didn't know what she was expecting Ashlyn's plan to be, but her writing 'gunshop' on the white board under the main objectives wasn't exactly what she had in mind.

"Okay...how are we supposed to get there," Tyler asked with his arms crossed next to her. He practically read her mind.

If there was one thing the redhead was good at, other than being probably the most impressive person that Danica knew, it was explaining things in detail.

They'd need a vehicle to get to the gunshop, so they'd have to somehow get her parents' Jeep into the graveyard. They'd also have to fortify the walls a bit given the situation with the phantom that had somehow gotten in.

They went through a lot of ideas as to just how they would do that. The issue they kept on running into was the fact that phantoms weren't like humans. They didn't get injured in the same way, and it wasn't exactly easy to find a light source that could take down a bunch of them without using a shit ton of power.

"We could use solar lights...maybe?" Logan suggested. Honestly, it was a brilliant idea, and yet there he was, still questioning himself in a way.

"That...could work," Ashlyn said with a nod, "but how are we going to get them?"

Aiden looked like he had been itching for someone to say something like that. He had his usual grin plastered onto his face before he spoke.

"Ah, you can leave that to me. I haven't been using my allowance lately so it's built up a bit."

Of course he was a rich kid. Danica would have groaned if it weren't for the fact that him being spoiled was coming in handy for them. It wasn't really something she could relate to, having a single nurse as her mother.

"Just how much money do you get as an allowance to be able to afford solar lights?" She questioned, raising a brow. Whatever he got in a month had to be equivalent to what someone working a full time job made in the same amount of time.

"That doesn't matter," Aiden said, dismissively waving his arm, "Point is, I have a card, so we can order the lights online and have them shipped here."

Ashlyn tapped her foot, looking down the floor of the bus in thought.

"Alright...we'll do that tomorrow then," she said before turning to Aiden, "before I forget, can I borrow your knife?"

"Sure." He answered as if it were the most normal question in the world, handing it over to her, "What do ya need it for-,"

Danica had been zoned out, like she'd been doing a lot lately, but a quick slicing sound snapped her out of it.

All she knew was that one second, Ashlyn had the longest braids she'd ever seen, and the next her hair was at her chin.

"These need to go." She said, holding at least a foot and a half of hair in her hands.

Danica looked quickly at Taylor. She just wanted to gauge if she was going to do the same thing, because if Taylor did it, then she'd feel like she had to as well. And Danica really didn't want to cut her hair.

Thankfully she didn't, and even if she was planning on it, their seven hours in hell were up for the night.

________

Their little group walking in the hall at school together the next day felt...weird, to say the least. It was like a slow buildup over the past few weeks. First she was walking with Tyler, then she walked with Ashlyn a few times (which usually meant Aiden and Ben as well), and now it was all of them.
