"Hi I'm Jack." He moved out of the way so the boys could come in the house. "Hi Matt." I gave him a warm hug and said hello to Nick and Chris. I gave them each hugs. "You never said you have a hot older brother." Nick said laughing. "Oh hes my moms, best friends, son." I said laughing. "Woah okay so brother figure." "Okay girl." I said giggling. I walked into the kitchen to introduce everyone. "Okay so mom, JJ, this is Matt, Nick, and Chris." I said. "Hi, I'm Nick." He went over to my mom and she hugged him. I t was kinda sweet. They all said hello and we eventually sat down and ate dinner.
"This was really good Miss. Hathway." Matt said eating his dinner. "Please call me Anne and thank you." "Okay I'm gonna go put the cookies in now." I said getting up and walking to the kitchen. I heard foot steps as I got the stuff I needed to make the cookies.
"Hi." Before I even turned around I knew who it was. "Hi Matty b." I said smiling. "Hi." He stood before me as I walked closer to him. "Whats up?" I asked as I got closer to him. "Nothing i just wanted to know if you wanted help." He said. "I dont but you can of you want." W e were standing in the middle of the kitchen not saying a word. We stood there looking at each other for what felt like years. Then we heard foot steps and laughter. It was the rest of the boys coming in the kitchen. "Hey whats going on?" Chris asked. "Oh nothing Matt was just seeing if i needed help with my cookies." I said. Chris and JJ started to giggle. "Thats what she said." Chris said. "You are so fucking immature." Nick said trying not to crack a smile. As soon as I said it knew what I walked into. "Okay so mom wanted us to tell you that she is gonna go to bed because she has a really nad headache but she said to invite clara and maddie over so we could all hang out." JJ said. JJ was always friends with my friends, I mean he was always around so he always just became part of the group "Aw okay. I guess you call them and Matt and I will do the baking." I said. "Okay cool." they walked out of the kitchen. Matt and I started to bake the cookies.
"Is it just me or have Nick and JJ been weird with each other." I asked. "Definitely not just you." He said laughing. "So this was fun." I smiled. He put the tray in the oven and turned around as I lifted myself onto the counter. "I love it when you smile." He said. I just looked at him, He walked closer and closer. His eyes met mine and we both just stared at each other. I could see it in his eyes that he was gonna kiss me. Did I want him to kiss me? Oh god. He started to lean in, I decided to lean in too. What was I doing? I didn't know if I was ready for this or not. What was I doing? I could stop myself though. We both leaned in and just kissed. I pulled away and looked at him awkwardly, for the first time ever. "Uh so I think we should go see if the girls are here." I got off the counter and walked away, leaving him there. I felt bad for not doing anything but walking away but I just didn't know what to do.
