Arthur:

I waited for Isaac to join me at a simple, cozy restaurant that was amicable to the two of us. The food was fine at best, the people were loud and boisterous, but the ambiance was unmatched to any other restaurant.

"I wonder when he's going to get here"  I thought anxiously, my knee bouncing up and down underneath the wooden table I was sitting at. The top of it slightly sticky from the mix of left over cleaning residue and a vestige of beer that hadn't been fully cleaned off. My hands instinctively going to my pocket to look for his location, which I don't have, on my phone. I normally didn't like going out, i'd much rather stay in and order something, however I did like going out with Isaac, and if that meant going to a tacky restaurant full of sweaty grown men that reeked of cigarettes and sour alcohol, i'd do it.

Finally I hear the familiar and comforting voice of Isaac, "And here i'd thought you'd be late. A pleasant surprise to see you punctual." Isaac said, his easy going smile plastered onto his face, "Have you ordered yet?" He asked sitting down across from me.

"No, I told them to wait until you got here," I smiled. It was strange but when I was around him I was somehow calmer and more giddy at the same time. A complete contradiction that made no sense, and it drove me mad. Yet I still made plans with him almost every night, yet I still craved his attention, and wanted his affection. Pushing those thoughts out of my head, I called a waitress over, "Can I have a Jacket Potato?" I asked politely.

"And may I have some fish and chips?" Isaac asked handing her his menu, looking up at her with a cordial smile. My chest instantly flaming up in jealousy.

"How dare this waitress come over to my table and try and seduce my friend, she only wants his money for tips, it makes no difference, she doesn't care or even know him."  I thought a frown starting on my face as my eyebrows knit together in frustration. "I'm being unreasonable, she's just trying to do her job" I thought again trying to calm myself down.

"I was thinking about making a podcast" I said looking at Isaac with hopeful eyes, "I wondered if you'd like to do it with me," I said anxiously, as I folded my hands in front of me, "It'd be fun, you could talk about space and me biology and anything else we wanted," I said the conversation now turning more into a plead, despite there being no answer from him.

"That'd be fun, yeah, let's do it," Isaac said with an excited face, "We already have great ideas just us two, I bet we'd make great podcast hosts" he said nodding his head.
