Isaac
Splashing the freezing water onto my face, before rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I look up to dry my face off, but not before catching a look of myself in the mirror. I looked hungover, the corners of my eyes had begun to crust with eye boogers, I was still wearing the clothes from the night before, my stomach felt queasy, and there was a constant hammering in my head.
"God" I groaned closing my eyes and rubbing my temples. Going out for a night usually means a couple of drinks, however I was out with Arthur. Which meant five more drinks than I would normally have. Before making my way out of the bathroom and getting back in bed, wincing at my headache. As I started drifting off again my phone suddenly rang. Rolling over with a groan, the brightness of the phone screen in contrast to the darkness of the room, only making the headache worse. I looked at who was calling.
"Arthur?" I murmured, as I accepted the call and brought the phone up to my ear.
"Mate how are you after last night? You drank a lot, hope you're not too bad off." He asked with a cheerful tone, sounding awake and lively. His voice bringing an unexpected soothingness to me, smiling as I listened to him talk.
"How are you this high of hopes after a night like last night. I'm pretty sure you drank just as much as me, if not more" I said into the phone, a smile coming to my face as I remembered Arthur's antics last night.
"I've built an immunity at this point" He joked into the phone, "I was wondering if you wanted to meet for dinner tonight, I have an idea I wanted to run past you."
"I think i'll be able to be there tonight, is 18:00 good for you?" I asked pinching the bridge of my nose between my pointer finger and thumb, as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Yeah, we can meet at the pub that we normally go to?" He asked clearly happy that I said yes.
"Yeah, see you then" I said into the phone before both saying goodbye and hanging up. Immediately turning my phone off and burying my face in my pillow, attempting to sleep off this headache until it was time for me to get ready for tonights dinner.
