Johnnie sat next to me on the balcony couch, taking a small sip from a glass of probably shitty wine. He leaned his head on my shoulder, obviously tipsy from the glass of wine and previous vodka swigs.

The wind softly hit my face, me and the boy looking up at the stars in the sky. He just sighed, the two of us draining out the sounds of shit music blaring from the hotel bar.

"You sure you don't wanna join Jake back in the bar?" I asked him, looking at him leaning on my shoulder.

"No.. it's better up here. I don't like it down there." He mumbled.

I had my arm around his shoulders, the boy nuzzled into my side. He was obviously tired, he had a few drinks and karaoke rounds so I wouldn't blame the guy.

Johnnie lifted his hand to mess with a small piece of my hair, his body loosening up. I felt his breath slow, signaling he was probably about to crash out.

"You about to fall asleep?" I asked him gently.

He just slowly nodded, his eyes shut. I snickered, amused but the caring side of me seemed to take a peak as well.

I ran my hand through his bleached black hair, getting a little "Johnnie residue" on my fingers. I groaned as I saw the black substance on my hand, annoyed.

Instead of waking him up more and making a fuss, I wiped it on his black jacket, his jewelry rustling from the motion.

"I think it's time for us to get Jake and go back to our room, yeah?" I suggested, Johnnie replying with a lazy nod.

I slowly got up, Johnnie laying on the couch. I looked down at him, laughing a little.

"Cmon, sleepyhead. Get up and you can fall asleep when we get back to the room." I said to him.

He stayed lying down, just tiredly blinking as he blankly stared at me. I rolled my eyes, bending down and pulling him off of the cushions.

He stood, me holding his hand to support him.

"You okay?" I asked him reassuringly.

He nodded, rubbing one of his eyes with his free hand. I started to walk with him next to me, the boy leaning on my shoulder from his tired demeanor.

We made our way from the roof of the hotel to the stairs, Johnnie refusing to go down.

"Nooo.." he groaned, nuzzling his head into my shoulder.

"Johnnie.. Johnnie we have to get Jake." I mumbled.

He wrapped his arms around me from behind, refusing to listen.

"Piggy back?" He asked me.

I rolled my eyes, bending down. He let out a little, "yes!" Before hopping onto my back.

"Hold onto the rail so we don't fucking die." I said to him sarcastically.

He obliged, grabbing the wall attachment as I walked down. When we reached the end, I dropped him on the ground, the boy standing up straight.

We were face to face with a crowded bar, the stench of alcohol filling the room. It's not surprising, I mean it is a Friday night.

I scanned the room for Jake, Johnnie clinging to my side with his head buried into my shoulder. I started walking through the loud room with the boy, until I spotted a familiar figure.

Jake sat on a bar stool, his head put down on the table. He looked like he was almost.. sleeping? I jogged over there, Johnnie groaning as I picked up speed with us hand in hand.
