Love PoV :
"You're just selfish Love! You want both of us!" Gun said and left the apartment holding his cheeks. Love slapped him after what he said.
As Gun stormed out of Love's apartment, leaving behind a wake of unresolved tension and hurtful words, Love sank onto her couch, her heart heavy with a mixture of guilt, anger, and confusion. Tears flowed freely down her cheeks as she replayed their argument in her mind, each accusation from Gun echoing painfully in her thoughts.
Feeling suffocated by the atmosphere in her own apartment, Love knew she needed space to process everything that had transpired. With trembling hands, she wiped her tears away and grabbed her keys. The decision to visit Milk, who lived just a few floors above her, came naturally—Milk had always been her pillar of strength and comfort during times of distress.
Stepping into the hallway, Love felt the coolness of the corridor against her flushed cheeks. The familiar surroundings that she had walked countless times suddenly felt unfamiliar, as if everything had changed in the span of a single argument. Her footsteps echoed softly as she descended the stairs, each step a reminder of the distance that had grown between her and Gun.
As she walked, Love's mind raced with conflicting thoughts. Was she really being selfish? Did she want both Gun and the companionship she found in Milk? The questions gnawed at her, tearing at the fabric of her already fragile emotions.
The journey to Milk's apartment felt longer than usual, each step laden with the weight of her thoughts. Tears continued to blur her vision, making it hard to see clearly, both literally and metaphorically. She felt a lump forming in her throat, the weight of her emotions threatening to overwhelm her.
When Love reached Milk's door, she hesitated, taking a moment to collect herself before she knocked softly. The sound of voices from inside made her heart skip a beat. The door opened slowly, revealing Milk's warm smile that faltered when she saw Love's tear-streaked face.
"Love, what's happened?" Milk's concern was palpable as she ushered Love inside, closing the door behind her.
Love's eyes immediately fell on Tu, standing nearby with sketches spread out on the table. Tu was a colleague from Milk's pottery class—a talented designer whom Love had always felt a twinge of jealousy towards. They were discussing pottery designs, but Love's emotions were too raw to see beyond her own turmoil.
"I... Gun and I had a terrible fight," Love managed to say, her voice trembling with emotion.
Milk nodded understandingly, guiding Love to sit down on the couch. "I'm so sorry, Love. Take a moment."
Tu quietly excused herself, sensing the gravity of the situation, and left them alone. Love felt a mix of relief and unease as Tu departed, grateful for her understanding but unable to shake the pang of jealousy at seeing Tu and Milk together in such an intimate setting.
As they sat together, Love poured out her heart to Milk, recounting the argument with Gun, her voice shaky as she laid bare the pain and confusion she felt. Milk listened patiently, offering comfort and support in her quiet way, a steady presence amidst Love's turbulent emotions.
"I just... I don't know what to do," Love admitted finally, tears continuing to stream down her cheeks. "I'm hurt and so lost."
Milk reached out, gently squeezing Love's hand in reassurance. "I'm here for you, Love. You're not alone in this."
Love nodded gratefully, feeling a sense of relief wash over her amidst the storm of emotions. "Thank you, Milk. I needed to talk to someone."
Milk smiled softly. "Of course, Love. And you know what? I think I should talk to Gun. Maybe he needs to hear how much this has affected you."
Love looked at Milk with a mixture of surprise and gratitude. "Would you... do that for me?" she asked, her voice tentative.
Milk nodded firmly. "Absolutely. I care about you, Love. I want to help in any way I can."
In that moment, Love felt a swell of conflicting emotions—gratitude for Milk's support, but also a sharp pang of jealousy as she glanced towards where Tu had been moments before. She knew Tu meant no harm, but seeing her with Milk triggered feelings of insecurity and jealousy.
Milk noticed Love's glance and understood her feelings without explanation. "Love, Tu and I were just discussing pottery. Nothing more," she reassured gently. "And I'll talk to Gun because I want to help you, and it hurts me seeing you hurt like this."
In that moment, Love felt a rush of love and gratitude towards Milk. With her friend's unwavering support, she knew she could find the strength to face Gun, to confront the issues that had strained their relationship. And with time, she hoped, they could find a way to heal and move forward together.
As they sat together, planning their next steps, Love felt a renewed sense of hope amidst the turmoil. With Milk by her side, she knew she wasn't alone in this journey of navigating through the complexities of love and relationships.
