"Tu! Thank you so much for taking care of my apartment! It looks exactly how I left it," I exclaimed gratefully, stepping into my familiar surroundings. It was late at night, ensuring Love wouldn't be aware of my return just yet.

"Oh, don't thank me too much. I got a free stay out of it! And thank you for letting me crash here as your housemate. Let's just make sure we don't make Love too jealous of our domestic bliss," Tu replied with a mischievous grin, prompting us both to chuckle. It had been a transformative two years away, and I felt like a new person, ready to tackle whatever challenges awaited me back in Bangkok.

View and June had followed me here to explore the potential of expanding their souvenir shop, and Tu had mentioned an empty shop next to our pottery store that might be just what they were looking for. Our location was prime, right in the heart of the city, bustling with potential customers.

"View, can you give me a hand with my luggage? I'm exhausted," June chimed in, clinging affectionately to View. June was always the effusive one, showering View with love, while View quietly reciprocated in her own gentle way.

"Of course, sweetheart. Let's get your things inside, and you can freshen up while I sort everything out," View replied tenderly, leading June inside as they disappeared into the apartment.

Tu and I remained outside, sharing a moment of quiet amidst the night air.

"I feel so lonely watching those two lovebirds," Tu remarked, her expression a mix of amusement and longing.

"Imagine me, living with them for two years? It nearly drove me mad watching them be so adorably in love with each other. I'm thrilled that our government finally approved same-gender marriage. I know they'll start planning their wedding soon," I said with genuine happiness for our friends. They truly deserved each other, and it was heartwarming to see them so content.

"Your situation is different though. You chose to stay away, even when I practically begged you to come back!" Tu teased, nudging me playfully.

I lightly swatted her arm in response, smiling at the camaraderie we shared. "Well, it's good to be back now, despite everything. Who knows what the future holds?"

Tu nodded knowingly, her gaze thoughtful. "Indeed. You're back, and you seem more determined than ever. I'm glad you took the time you needed."

As we stood there, the city around us hummed with life, and I felt a surge of excitement for what lay ahead. Being back in Bangkok, surrounded by familiar faces and the buzz of urban living, felt both comforting and invigorating. I knew that whatever decisions lay ahead regarding Love, I was ready to face them head-on, supported by friends who understood and cherished me.

"Jokes aside, how's Love doing, Tu?" I asked, my voice soft with concern. My love for her never wavered, and now more than ever, I was determined to reveal my feelings and accept whatever path Love chose.

"Love is... different lately," Tu began thoughtfully. "She's quieter, spends a lot of time daydreaming. I haven't seen much of Gun either. She's withdrawn from social activities and her appetite isn't what it used to be when you were around, constantly feeding her. I think deep down, she misses you, Milk."

I listened intently, my heart heavy with mixed emotions. "I'm planning to meet her tomorrow at our shop. It'll be a surprise, but I think it's time we talk things through. Whether she's still with Gun or not, I've accepted it. I just want her to be happy again, to know that her life is as beautiful as her smile," I confessed, gazing out over the balcony, the breeze soothing my nerves.
