"Ahh Mummaa bachaoo!" Kashish shrieked, jumping back in surprise. Her heart raced as she processed what she had seen, then she noticed Shubman stifling laughter in the corner.
"Shubman youu idiot!" Kashish exclaimed, half-annoyed and half-amused. "You scared the life out me!"
Shubman emerged from his hiding spot, trying to look innocent. "I couldn't resist. You should've seen your face!"
Kashish rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at her lips despite herself. "That wasn't funny, Shubman."
"Come on, admit it. It was a good prank," Shubman teased, his grin widening.
Kashish sighed, shaking her head but unable to suppress a smile. "Fine, it was clever. But you have to owe me coffee for this."
Shubman chuckled, relieved to see Kashish in better spirits. "Deal. Sorry for scaring you, Kash."
They shared a laugh, the tension from their recent conflicts melting away in the shared moment of lightheartedness. It was a reminder that even during tough times, they could still find joy and camaraderie.
