Chapter 9: The incident

Where am i?

I only remember the kiss.

Ah, there he is.

I feel my body burning. My heart is beating faster than ever. All because of this human. This damn human, that has captured my heart.

I want him, so bad. He is the only one that has accepted me for who i was...who i am. I want to hug him, keep him close, protect him.

Right now, for the way he is looking at me, i can see it. He feels the same way about me. Descon...just even the way he is bitting his lower lip right now makes him even hotter.

I lick my lips, for i know another kiss is coming. But he isnt getting near close. Well, i guess i will have to do it myself again. He sure is dense...but i like that about him.

I want him, i crave him...he is mine.

Shit, shit, shit, shit, what the fuck do I do now? My body is frozen; I'm having a hard time getting it to respond. I can't take my eyes off her, the moment I do... I'm dead.

I try to back away with slow movements without looking away. She keeps looking at me with those black eyes, calculating my every move. The gills on her neck flutter like crazy. Her whole body is leaning forward, her hands clutching the ground as her tail wags slowly behind her. As soon as I start running, she's going to hunt me down. In my fucking life I've never felt anything like what I'm feeling now. My instincts are screaming for me to fly, to run away from her. But I know that would be the worst decision I could make, it would only make her more excited. My tongue licks the cut on my lower lip instinctively, making the taste of copper invade my mouth.

Calm down Descon, keep walking backwards.

Slowly.

She takes a step; I take another step back.

"Koral... I-i know you're in there. It's me, Descon. You don't want to hurt me. Come to your senses" I tell her as calmly as I can as I slowly raise my hands to show her that I mean no harm to her. However, she clenches her sharp teeth tighter as she lets out a growl.

Shit, this isn't working. I must try some-

*CRACK*

My soul leaves my body as soon as I hear the sound of a branch snapping beneath my feet. That's when I see her charging in my direction, using her arms as forelegs and with her mouth open.

Fuck!

I turn and start running like a lunatic through the school's garden, jumping over the dead bushes and dodging the various planted hedges. I don't turn my head to look back, I can hear her breathing hitching as she chases me.

What do i do now? Where the hell do I go?

I can't think clearly, all my focus is on running and dodging. I see in the distance the shed where the gardening tools are stored.

It's my only chance. If I could-

She tackles me from behind, causing both of us to roll on the floor. I notice how her strong hands dig into my side the moment we stop rolling. Her mouth opens and I can see saliva dripping from her mouth. Praying to Raptor Jesus that this works, I grab dirt from the ground and throw it to her face. It works, as she stops grabbing me to rub the dirt out of her eyes while she grunts in frustration. As best I can, I crawl away from her until I manage to get to my feet and run in the direction of the shed.
