Bumblebee cruised through the bustling streets during the late afternoon, scanning for any signs of trouble as he carried out his patrol duties. The town seemed calm and peaceful, the sun casting long shadows as it began to dip towards the horizon. Inside the cabin, rock music blared from his speakers, a lively playlist suggested by Miko. The rhythmic beat and electrifying guitar riffs filled the air, energizing Bumblebee as he navigated the familiar roads.
As he drove along, something suddenly darted across the street, a blur of motion that caught his attention. Instinctively, Bumblebee's sensors locked onto the small figure, and he swiftly engaged his brakes, tires screeching against the pavement as he came to an abrupt halt.
He peered down and saw a tiny, shivering kitten standing in the middle of the road, its wide eyes reflecting both fear and curiosity.
Realizing the precarious situation, the young scout quickly assessed his surroundings. The street was unusually quiet, devoid of any human presence. Taking advantage of the solitude, he converted from his sleek vehicle mode into his towering robot form.
Once fully transformed, he knelt down and carefully scooped up the trembling kitten with his large, metallic servos. The tiny creature meowed pitifully, its small body shaking from the cold. The mech's gentle touch seemed to soothe the frightened feline and it began to purr contentedly as he stroked the top of its head with a single, delicate digit.
As he cradled the kitten close, Bumblebee's mind processor with concern. He knew he couldn't take the little feline back to the Autobot base; Ratchet would surely disapprove of bringing in an animal, fearing the potential for chaos and distraction. Yet, the kitten's cries tugged at his spark, compelling him to find a solution.
Close to a narrow alley, Bumblebee's optics caught sight of a large dumpster surrounded by discarded items. Among the refuse, he spotted a sizable cardboard box and a piece of thrown-away clothing that looked relatively clean. With careful precision, he retrieved the box and the garment, taking care not to make too much noise.
He gently placed the box beside the shivering kitten and lined it with the makeshift blanket, ensuring it was as comfortable as possible. The kitten, intrigued by the sudden change in its environment, approached the box with cautious curiosity. It sniffed around the edges, testing the new object, before finally hopping inside. Once settled, the kitten curled up, finding warmth and comfort in its new bed.
