The sun was rising, casting a warm glow over the streets and Rarity was in particularly high spirits. She had just picked up one of her outfits from the dry cleaners, wrapped in cover, a beautiful dress that she had painstakingly designed herself. The fabric was pristine, the colors vibrant and the fit absolutely perfect, "Oh, darling, just look at it!" she exclaimed, holding the hanger up for Coco to admire as they walked, making their way back to the academy, "The stitching is flawless, the colors are divine. This is exactly how I envisioned it."

The blue-haired girl smiled warmly, admiring her mentor's work, "It's absolutely stunning. I'm sure everyone will be blown away when they see you wearing it." they continued walking, approaching a busy intersection. The light was red, so they patiently waited for the green light to signal them to cross.

Rarity hummed to herself, glancing down at her clothing, "I can already imagine the look on their faces when I step into the room. I'll make a statement without saying a word."

But just as she was lost in thoughts of grandeur, the sound of roaring engines broke through her daydreams. A red and blue car, clearly speeding well above the limit, came tearing down the road, right through a massive puddle that had accumulated on the side of the street.

SPLASH!

The mud flew up in a wide arc, spraying everything in its path. Rarity barely had time to gasp before the cold, sticky mess splattered over her. Her pristine white blouse, once the epitome of elegance, was now stained with streaks of dark brown. The fluid dirt dripped from the hem of her tailored skirt and her designer shoes—her favorites—were completely ruined.

For a moment, there was only stunned silence.

She stood there, frozen. Coco, standing beside her, looked on in shock, unsure of what to say or do.

And then it happened.

"MY OUTFIT!" the fashionista shrieked, "It's ruined! Completely, utterly ruined!"

While quickly stepping forward, Coco offered a tissue from her purse, "Rarity, I'm so sorry! Here, maybe we can clean some of it off—"

"Clean it off?!" she repeated as she waved her hands dramatically, "Darling, look at me! This isn't just a little smudge, it's an absolute catastrophe!" she pointed to her now-streaked blouse, the once-glowing white now tarnished with brown splotches, "This fabric is delicate! Do you know how hard it is to get mud out of silk?!" as she continued her lament, the offending cars, now far down the road, were long gone, leaving behind nothing but the muddy mess and a thoroughly disheartened fashionista. Coco bit her lip, her brow furrowed in concentration as she tried to think of a quick solution.
