"Do you need any help, sir?" the old lady asked gently, her warm gaze studying the tall, silent figure who stood before the flowers from outside. The man, though imposing in stature, seemed oddly out of place amid the delicate colors and soft scents that filled her small, cozy flower shop.

Soundwave turned slowly, the light catching the polished surface of his visor. His mechanical voice came through the speaker embedded in his visor, "-Only... observing-"

The old lady nodded understandingly with a smile, "Very well. If you need me, I'll be right over there." she offered, motioning to the shop, where another customer stood inside. She turned away, leaving Soundwave to his quiet contemplation.

As she disappeared, he returned his focus to the flowers in front of him. There was a calmness to this ritual, a strange sense of peace that came with observing the plants. This small shop, located not far from the academy, had become something of a refuge for him. He found enjoyment in examining the flowers that were delivered daily, the new blooms bringing a touch of natural beauty that clashed with his mechanical existence.

Occasionally, he purchased a small potted plant, something simple and resilient that he could take care of in his dorm room. It wasn't a hobby anyone would expect from someone like him, but the silent care required to nurture something living resonated with him in a way he couldn't fully explain. Plants didn't demand anything of him. They simply existed, growing quietly, just as he often did.

He knelt down, his visor reflecting the vibrant purple of the flowers he was inspecting. With a subtle click, his HUD activated, scanning the flowers and providing detailed information on their species, care requirements and potential uses. The screen in his visor glowed faintly, feeding him data that he absorbed without breaking his quiet examination.

Beside him, a small black kitten with sleek fur rubbed affectionately against his leg, purring in contentment. The collar around the kitten's neck bore a simple tag that read 'Ravage' a name that seemed to fit the tiny creature's silent yet loyal nature. Soundwave gently extended a hand, allowing the kitten to nuzzle it before returning his attention to the plants.

Perched on his shoulder, a black raven, sleek and observant, shifted its weight and let out a low, croaking sound of curiosity. The bird, Laserbeak, tilted its head to one side, its beady eyes fixated on the purple blooms below.

"-What-about-this-one-?" Soundwave's synthesized voice hummed as he lifted a pot of Irises, their deep purple petals catching the soft light filtering into the shop.

(Excellent choice, master.) Ravage meowed with approval, (They look lovely.)

Satisfied with his pet's agreement, Soundwave continued his quiet exploration. Meanwhile, Ravage's sharp nose twitched, picking up a scent that didn't belong to the familiar fragrances of the shop. It was an unusual smell, something rich and savory. Turning his head, the feline sniffed the air, tracking the source of the scent to the other end of the street. His curiosity got the better of him as his tail swayed lazily, and before long, he padded silently, passing by several pedestrians. Some people hurriedly moved away, superstitions about black cats making them nervous, while others merely scowled at the feline.
