MATTHEO RIDDLE

That day I woke up knowing that I was going to Emmeline's store.

I was thinking about the night before, when I was having dinner with Mads and she was holding her stuffed dolphin.

If I was gonna start talking to her again, I had to find a way to do it, and what better way than to take Madison to look at the store.

I was lying on the bed with Madison playing with Mr. Dolphin. It was a Saturday so we didn't have to worry about the time and nothing else.

I would have postponed all the problems, personal and work, to Monday. On weekends I was completely there for my daughter.

The weekend was all about her.

«Daddy, I'm hungry» Mads said, lying down on top of me.

«Would you like to have breakfast outside, little star?» I asked her.

«Yes!» she said.

«Can I decide what to put on?» she asked me and I nodded.

Madison took my hand and made me get up to go into her room. She opened the closet and I took her in my arms so that she could see all her clothes.

«What do you want to wear, little star?» I asked her.

«That one» she said, pointing to a purple dress, which of course I had bought her.

There were many gifts in that closet that Pansy and Daphne had given, but my daughter was good at picking.

I put her clothes on the bed and then I led Mads to the bathroom.

I would have given her a quick shower, even though it could never be quick with a four-year-old.

After the shower I wrapped her in her bathrobe and I dried her.

«Daddy I'm cold» Mads told me.

«Now we're going to get dressed, little star» I said.

First of all I dried her hair by passing the hairdryer a little on her body to warm her, Mads started laughing and I couldn't not laugh too.

I took her in my arms and went to her room where I waited for her to get dressed, then she followed me into the room so that I could get dressed.

«What are we doing today, daddy?» she asked me sitting on the edge of the bed.

«Do you want to go to the park?» I asked her.

«Yes!» she raised her arms and moved her legs dangling from the bed.

I couldn't help but smile at the sight of my daughter so happy.

«Daddy?» she asked me.

«Tell me little star» I approached her.

«When can I see Scorpi again?» he asked me.

«Never. No boys until you're a big lady» I said to her and she sulked.
