Chapter 1: 16 Months Later.

*Ron POV*

It's been 16 months since we lost Omid. Christa suffered a miscarry with her baby, but we stuck together. We had a small camp in the woods.

Clementine: Christa, please, talk to us.

Christa has been rather quiet since she lost the baby. I just returned with a weasel and was trying to cook it, but the wood was too wet to burn.

Ron: Son of a... *sigh* At this rate, we'll eat this for breakfast.

Carley: Anything we can do?

Ron: Find something that'll burn. I don't know... It won't be easy in the dark and rain.

Clementine: We can't build a big fire at night. It's too dangerous.

Ron: That is true, Clem. But, we need to eat.

Clementine started shivering, it is getting colder outside.

Ron: Mom, there should be a hoodie in my backpack. Can you give it to Clem?

Carley: Sure.

We made a plan to get to this place called Wellington, it's up in Michigan along the Canadian border, with winters so cold, walkers will slow down. After Clem says she misses Lee, Christa and Mom went to get more wood. But I had to tell Mom.

Carley: What's wrong, sweetheart?

Ron: I think I might tell Clem how I feel.

Carley: Good luck, honey.

Mom kissed my forehead for luck before joining Christa.

Ron: Here goes. Clem?

Clementine: Yeah?

Ron: I... Fuck it.

I pull Clementine into a kiss, and I felt her melt into it as she caresses my face.

Ron: I love you, Clementine. I have since we met in Macon.

Clementine: Ron... I love you too. Ever since you went through that sea of walkers to save me from that man.

Ron: Guess you're my girlfriend now.

Clementine: Yeah. That means you're my boyfriend.

Clem and I share another kiss before I hear voices. It was some guys harassing Mom and Christa. I point my crossbow and kill one of them.

Ron: MOM! CHRISTA! RUN!!!

One of the bastards chased us but I pushed him towards a Walker and let him get eaten. Clem and I fell into a river, and I blacked out.
