“SHE DIDN’T tell me she has a boyfriend,” sarkastikong sabi ng lalaki, tinignan si Keira at sinalubong ang paningin ko.
I looked at him, looked and made sure that he will feel the intensity of my stare. If glares can kill, he’d be dead on the spot.
I wanted to laugh because I could feel her twitching beside me.
A thought suddenly hit my mind. Ew, ‘wag niyang sabihing kahit trip lang ‘to, susuyuin niya ‘yang lalaking ‘yan?
“Nagpapasuyo ba ‘yan?” Hindi ko na napigilang magtanong. Hinampas niya ‘ko at itinulak papalayo.
I laughed, and immediately rolled my eyes when I met the man’s eyes again.
Though, I’m the one who seldom receives her heartily love advices because I rarely get tangled into love interest.
Tsh, sa gwapo kong ‘to, wala?
“He’s not a boyfriend. He’s a friend,” Keira explained, giving me a warning stare. “And he’s gay.”
Mabilis palang kausap ‘to, eh. Akala ko pa naman tigasin.
“Sure,” he nonchalantly said, looked at Keira and stared at her hopefully.
My friend side eyed me and I think that that’s an enough reason to excuse myself. I raised my middle finger at her and waved my hand, gesturing her to text me if ever she ever needed my help.
“What’s eight multipy by three?” Cadmus asked to the curious child, and the latter dutifully draws a three groups of eight sticks on his notebook.
Gabriel counted the total number of sticks he drew and happily said, “That’s twenty-four!”
“Mayaman ka ba?” walang prenong tanong ko. Tinignan ako ni Cadmus at nginisihan. Gago na naman sagot.
