She saw Caraxes waiting out as she walked out of the Harrenhal with her husband and child on her hands. Daemon was of course standing right next to his dragon. He smiled a little at his daughter as they approached him.
He kissed her on forehead.
"I have sad news, Raella... Helaena... jumped out of the window of Red Keep."
She inhaled air sharply as she covered her mouth with her other hand.
Aemond next to her was furious.
"She jumped out? Not somebody maybe pushing her out?"
"Nephew, I do not..."
"Spare your words, uncle." He looked at him dead "We shall see who has the righteousness on dragons, that's why you came, yes or no?"
Raella once more looked at Aemond.
"Please, Aemond... you have a child to raise, please he's my father!"
"Spare the words. It's decided." He didn't even look at her, his gaze only on Daemon as he put on his gloves.
He only turned to her when his uncle mounted his dragon. He kissed their daughter on forehead. And he kissed her.
It was a sweet kiss.
It was a goodbye kiss.
She heard the voice for the first time since so long. She brushed off a tear quickly turning away from Aemond. For the last time maybe.
They flied off. She ran out of the castle fast. To see. They were to fight above the Gods Eye. She saw it with her own eyes.
She cried all of it.
The sun was setting above the horizon. Almost all of the people at the Harrenhal were with her as she watched in horror.
It was a sight to see, they later said.
The smallfolk was scared that the sky was aflame, as Caraxes and Vhagar produced more and more dragonfire.
At one second they were fighting.
At the next Daemons dragon slammed into the bigger one and locked its jaws on the others neck.
Raella let out a strangled scream, almost loosing grip on her daughter.
Vhagars teeth tore Caraxe's wing in seconds, but even though the smaller dragon didn't give up, still his grip on her neck tight.
Even though the Smallfolk said they couldn't see it Raella saw with her own eyes, or it is to blame her strange talents that she saw as Daemon lept out of his saddle.
And drove Dark Sister through Aemond's eye socket.
Raella screamed and cried as the two dragons fell down into the sea. Gout of water was almost as high as the towers of Harrenhal.
The princess was on the ground, gripping her daughter to her chest tightly.
She cried and screamed until the morning deceased into afternoon, it was said.
Only then, a strange woman Alys Rivers came to her.
It is said that they talked. About what? No-one had idea. But princess finally got up and left with Alys.
"I must go to Dragon Stone."
"There's no way to do that, princess... unless you have a dragon."
She let her gaze slid into the floor, thinking about what happened to her dragon.
