"Where is Alys Rivers?"
She asked this question all the time since she stepped into Harrenhal. Aemond didn't kill Strongs, because she came in time. So soon enough she met Simon Strong.
He right away jumped in shock and bowed his head. Then, like he remembered something, he bowed.
"My Queen..." his wide opened eyes went up to her "You are alive."
"Indeed." She clasped her hands together in front of her to stop trembling of nervousness "Where is Alys Rivers?"
"Oh..." he turned away from her "She..." he stopped unsure.
"What is it? Talk!" She raised her voice. She didn't want to, but fear about her child... it was too much.
"She left as soon as she learned about your mother's and yours alleged executions."
She took a sharp breath as he said that. Her eyes were still in shock. She folded a little as she grasped her chest in fear and shock.
"My Queen... are you-" he stuttered "Alright?"
She needed a moment to herself as she breathed heavily. But she needed to pull herself together, for gods sake.
She slapped herself.
Simon gasped with his eyes opened in shock.
"My..."
"Yes I am well. Thank you." She said as she turned away from him "And no-one can know about our meeting here."
"Of course, your grace." He bowed as she opened the doors to leave.
She rushed through the castle with a cold face. Everyone bowed on her way, stopping in anything they were doing. Her chin was up, she was confident Queen, not a scared Princess anymore.
She learned that from Rhaenyra.
She stopped one man on her way, thinking it would be heir to Harrenhal from what she could remember. He looked so much like Harwin Strong she had to take a deep breath before talking.
"Tell Sir Simon to try to retrieve my father's body." She simply said, thinking it should be done long ago. Daemon Targaryen deserved a Targaryen funeral.
She turned away after he nodded in understanding and rushing to Simon.
"Wait..." he said. She turned to him with her brow raised "My Queen... shall we retrieve Aemonds body too?"
She stopped breathing for a second, her face in a second totally washed out of emotions, leaving only one. Nostalgia mixed with love.
She cleared her throat for a while feeling tears beginning to fill her eyes. But she wouldn't cry. Not anymore.
"Retrieve Black Sister with my father's body." She said without any emotions left in her face or voice.
She once again turned away even before he could bow and leave. She didn't stop this time anymore as she left the castle.
In rush she raised her dress running down the stairs of Harrenhal.
"Silverwing!" She yelled for her dragon to get ready. Everyone outside looked at her immediately.
Then her dragon roared loudly. They all flinched or even jumped to look now at the beast. Almost like it could feel her emotions, overwhelming her. How she was scared and angry at the same time. But also sad and nostalgic.
She quickly put on her gloves to flying and jumped to mount the dragon. It once again screeched and the soldiers once again flinched and jumped to turn to stare at it.
As it waved its wings to descend into the sky all the man grasped something near to not be knocked down. Few unfortunate souls lay on the ground already, not ready at all for the impact. Silverwing liked the drama as she could tell because it circled above the space where the soldiers were getting to their homes once again.
She rolled her eyes at her dragons actions but after a while they pulled away from the castle. Into the woods. She looked down at it, searching for an even little sign of humans.
Alys would be there.
Right?
She circled around so many times her eyes started to swallow. It was night already. She circled until her dragon started to get tired.
Silverwing landed in the forest, much to Raellas surprise. And it didn't want to get up even when she commanded. She just simply sighed as she gets off. She patted its head in reassuring and caring way as she looked around for a while.
She heard stories about this forest.
That its cursed. That it's dangerous to be out there in the dark. But she was there and it was night. She couldn't see her own feets.
Until she saw fire nearby. It appeared so quickly it was strange. So strange, like everything that she heard about Harrenhal forest. Really.
But either way she took a last glance at her dragon before she stepped at the bushes that were separating her and the fire.
It was cold. And she was also alone.
The bush was grasping her almost like a human, she could swear that it was like that. Either way she still was keen on to getting to the fire.
By it was sitting a girl. White haired girl.
She took a sharp breath widening her eyes as she took a final step and stopped in front of the bushes. A few more and she could touch the girl.
"Come closer, Raella." It knew her name. She was certain it wasn't human.
A ghost of Targaryen.
"Who are you?"
The girl finally sharply turned her head to her. Queen swallowed air sharply as tears formed in her eyes.
She was staring at her younger self. Or rather, her young mother.
"Mom?" Tears dropped down her cheeks, cold tears for once from coldness of forest.
The girl nodded with a slight smile looking up at her. Raella didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around her at once, sobbing and crying loudly. Her hug was so tight. She heard a chuckle from Rhaenyra. She hugged her too. Not so tightly but for sure with warmness and love.
"I missed you so much..." she let out a choke with low voice.
"Me too, my little girl." She said softly. She rubbed her back and head, playing with her silver hair as she once did when she was a child "My little twin dragon. My daughter."
Raella didn't stop crying in her mothers arms. She cried like once again a baby.
Until her mother disappeared.
Turned into ash.
She even cried more then.
