아름답고 황홀해
반짝이는 내 각막은 다이아몬드
규칙 없는 세계는
전부 뒤집혀 뒤집혀 서있어(Beautiful and brilliant
My glittering vision is a diamond
In a world with no rules
Everything's been turned upside down)
SCENE-[ DECELIS ACADEMY ]
Echoes of footsteps could be heard throughout the dark endless hallways of the prestigious Decelis Academy, the hallways lit with lanterns.
The clueless freshmans followed the teacher assigned through the dark hallway, being led to their dormitories.
Decelis Academy was a prestigious school. Every parent dreamed of sending their children to this Academy, in hopes that their child would become successful in life. Unbeknownst to the fact that they were probably ruining their child's mental health from the sheer pressure put on them. Decelis Academy was a reputed boarding school far away in the countryside, the campus being surrounded by serene woods.
A group of eleventh graders watched them from afar with amused grins.
"I swear it's always so funny to see these new kids come in." Sim Jaeyun let out a bark of laughter.
"That kid looks like he's gonna piss his pants" Park Jeongseong commented, looking at the chubby short freshman.
"Don't act as if you weren't moping the first day you came here, Jay" Park Sunghoon commented, patting Jay's back.
"Oh yeah! I remember! The moment I set my eyes on him, I knew he was a mama's boy. I even heard him whispering-" "OI SHUT UP JAKE" Jay exclaimed, cutting him off.
Sunghoon and Jake laughed at their friend's outburst. The slight tinge of red didn't in the tip of Jay's ears didn't go unnoticed by the duo as they roared with laughter. Jay muttered words under his breath incoherently and walked away.
"Ay come on bestfriend, we were just joking!" Jake laughed, slinging his arm over Sunghoon's shoulder as they both followed Jay, to their shared dormitories.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the school building was Nishimura Riki, a lean Japanese boy with dyed blonde hair. Nishimura Riki wasn't exactly the ideal type of son, he was more of a rebel, yet another privileged student of Decelis Academy.
Nishimura Riki wasn't exactly enthusiastic about this whole prestigious Decelis Academy thing. He would much rather go to his previous school than this hideous one, which would be rich coming from him because he didn't like his previous school either. Well if you don't count the fact that he went to school once in a blue moon.
His grades were dropping terribly and alas! At last, his parents sent him to Decelis Academy in hopes that their son would become disciplined.
Nishimura Riki had an older brother as well, who was the exact opposite of him. The "Perfect son" with flying grades and excellence, who is now in medical school, studying furiously to become some doctor or stuff.
His mom would ramble on and on about his older brother's achievements and how he should aspire to be as excellent as him yada yada which would make his ears almost bleed.
He groaned as he climbed on his bed, pulling the sheets over him in an attempt to block out the light. Nishimura Riki covered his ears with his pillows, as his roommates chattered.
He already hated it here.
-
Dawn had come and most of the students were already present in the dining hall, the rattle and clatter of plates and spoons filling the room while soft murmurs and mumblings of students could be heard, mostly the freshmans getting to know each otherThe trio- Jay, Jake and Sunghoon marched in the dining hall with long strides, being their usual loud selves. They halted to a stop when they reached their usual spot, now claimed by a group of twelfth graders.
"Uh Hey, that's our spot.." Jake called out hesitantly, The leader of the group looked up at them with a raised eyebrow, "So?" He challenged.
Jake cowered under his gaze, taking a step back. One of the seniors seemed to recognize him, "Oi, Sim Jaeyun aren't ya? One of those elite kids." He said gruffly.
"I hate those rich kids. They piss me off so much. What? You think you own this place, who the hell do you think you are?" The leader remarked in a snarky tone, getting up slowly in a threatening stance.
The entire hall fell silent, holding their breath, anticipating a brawl.
Sunghoon pulled Jake back by the scruff of his collar, as Jay mumbled a quick apology. The trio quickly got out of the dining hall, and into the school grounds.
"Man that was embarrassing as hell." Jake exhaled, messing up his already messy hair with his hands.
"You were standing over there like a total idiot. Dude, we could've just taken another spot." Jay said.
"I know! I don't know what was going on in my brain." Jake sighed, sitting on the green grass under a large oak tree.
"Jake, have you ever thought of the possibility that you might not possess a thing called conscience?" Sunghoon said thoughtfully, sitting down next to Jake as Jay did the same, sitting on the other side, facing the two.
