Swallow the river of Lethe)

Sunoo felt his strength draining away with each step he took on the school ground. He was already frail- his skin almost translucent. His cheekbones jutted out, shadows sinking into his hollowed face. He had barely been eating.

Now, with every step, he regretted ever leaving the warmth of the school building. The cold gnawed at him, biting deep into his already aching bones.

Sunoo's world began to twist and blur, the edge of his sight darkening as the pain in his body grew sharper, like needles digging into his flesh. A ringing started in his ear- a high pitched sound that made his head throb. He hadn't slept properly in days and fatigue seemed to have got the best of him. It felt as if the cold seeped into his very soul, draining what little life he had left.

"You look dead." A voice cut through Sunoo's internal struggle inside his mind. Sunoo blinked, trying to focus at the blonde haired guy whose face was just a smear of distinct colors, much to Sunoo's fatigue.

Sunoo let out a weak grimace, his face contorting in pain as his body protested against the cold and exhaustion. "What gave it away?." Sunoo muttered, but before he could hear a reply, everything went dark. His body crumbled, hitting the icy pavement with a loud thud. His face scraped against the rough ground, leaving a fresh bruise.

The blonde stared at the Sunoo who lay motionless on the ground, a thin line of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth in alarm.

Sunoo slowly became aware of his surroundings. His body felt heavy, as though it were chained down. He was lying on a hard metallic bed that made his bones ache even more. His eyes remained shut. He had no idea how long he had been lying there.

When he finally opened his eyes, they were hit with dim light. He sat up slowly with much pain. His hand instinctively reached for his face where he felt something unfamiliar- a bandage, rough against his skin. He traced the edges of it, which had been wrapped tightly against his bruised skin.

The air in the room was thick with the metallic scent of medicine, sterile and cold, and something slightly unpleasant, like antiseptic and blood.

It didn't take long for him to realize that he was in the school's infirmary. The room was dimly lit, with shadows in the corners, making it seem small and suffocating. He looked around, his mind still in a haze. The only sound was the faint hum of the lights above.

A nurse soon entered the room, her footsteps echoing through the marble floor. She hurried over to Sunoo with a look of concern and mild irritation.

"You need to take better care of yourself." She said strictly, handing him a small bottle of medicine. The pills rattled slightly as she placed them in his hand. The cold touch of the bottle sent a shiver down Sunoo's spine.

Sunoo nodded absentmindedly, clutching the bottle of pills in his hand. After a few moments, Sunoo managed to pull himself out of bed, his legs trembling as he stood. With slow shaky steps, he left the infirmary and headed back to his dormitory.

He walked through the dimly lit halls, the medicine still clutched in his hand. All he wanted was to reach his room, to collapse onto his bed, and forget everything that had happened, if only for a little while.
