Steven had just left the Gems a few days ago, leaving all of them and Steven's dad to ponder what they are going to be doing in a life without the most important piece.

Steven had impacted everyone's lives, but his own was too big for Beach City. Everyone cried the day he left, feeling like something was missing.

Garnet was left with herself, or well Ruby and Sapphire had each other. Some nights they would lay next to each other or fused, talking back and forth of how often they need to see Steven, or what they can do to pass the time when they miss him. Or maybe if some new kid would arrive in her arms, but the more they thought, they may want something on a deeper level than that.

For quite some time they've wanted a child of their own, but never quite a way to have one.

As Ruby and Sapphire, (fused as Garnet) were talking they heard the Warp. Immediately her door opened with her gauntlets on waiting for a fight.

Instead, there was a young, red headed girl, standing on the Warp, terrified. She raised her hands to show no fight, but Garnet kept her fists raised. "Who are you."

"Iris. I'm sorry. I do not know where I am... I was in my bed one second and the next here." The frightened look on her face made Garnet aware that what she was saying could be true.

"But that's impossible," Ruby fought back against Sapphires thoughts, still speaking through Garnet, "the Warp wouldn't just take someone in their sleep. You would need a warp whistle."

Iris emptied her pockets, and sure enough, there wasn't anything in them. "I astral project sometimes. I might have just wondered off a bit far."

Astral project? Garnet thought. That's usually ever thought of as a myth. No gem or human that I know of has been able to do that. Garnet stood there for a good few seconds. Trying to understand how this was happening. Then how is she here? It's possible she's not from here. Not from this... Universe. Excuse me. "Where are you from?" She asked, curiosity in her voice.

"Well where I'm from..." She took a second to think of how to explain it, "when you open your eyes and look at things. The texture and... Coloring of everything isn't like this."
