"and you are... done." sofia says, after spending over an hour curling my hair and doing my make-up.
"sof, i look amazing. thank you." i say, kissing her cheek before hugging her.
"that's what sisters are for." she says, smiling at me.
"well it's too bad you don't have a boyfriend, because i would love to help you get ready." i say.
"you live in a different country alex, how would that work."
"there's a thing called planes."
"wow, never knew that." she says, rolling her eyes playfully.
"well when you get your first date, give me a call." i say, standing up from the chair i was in.
"right, your dress." she says, walking over to my wardrobe, picking out a dress a few minutes later.
"so this dress, and hmm this bag. oh, and those shoes!" she says, handing me the items to change into.
"i'll be right back." i say, walking into the bathroom.
(outfit below)
"what do you think?" i say, walking out of the bathroom and spinning slowly.
"any man would be lucky to take you out on a date." she says, sat on my bed.
"who is he?" i ask, sitting down beside her.
"that's a secret."
"tell me a little about him then."
"okay... he's tall- taller than you. you will love his smile..." more than george's smile? "and... he's at the door right now." she says, as there is a knock on the door.
"i guess, i'm going now then." i say, standing up.
"trust me, you wont regret him." she says, pushing me out of the room.
i take a deep breath, before walking over to the door. i could feel my heartbeat picking up, stressing about who was in the other side of the door.
okay alex, open the door on a count of three.
1... 2... 3...
