The Destiny

Chapter two

I woke up and was really confused. What the hell happened? The last thing I could remember was the conversation between Nicole and me. The look on her face. I looked around and saw a lot of people around me. "What happened?" I asked and all of the people around looked at me. I saw Anja, Nicole and Alek standing there. Alek immediately walked up to me and grabbed my hand. "Oh honey. I was so worried about you, you fainted in front of Anja." He told me. I looked back into the room and saw Nora coming in. "Why is she here?" I asked louder than I wanted to. Richard, the head of the emergency apartment tarted to speak. "Destiny, you had an stress reaction, that's the reason you fainted. when was the last time you had more than 2 days off?"  "I don't know, I think a month or so ago, I'm nor sure." I told him and sat up. "Its important for you to reduce some Stress, also I listened to your heart and would like to do an ecg if that's okay with you." Richard told me. "Yeah, but I want her gone." I pointed at Nora and knew, that everybody will get the drama now but I didn't care, I just wanted her out of my sight. "Destiny, please I-" Nora started to speak and wanted to touch my face but I directly interrupted her and pulled my face away. "No, let me. You have no right to be here and you know why." I was so angry and my heart rate was starting to go up. I felt myself getting troubles to breath. Sh*t I was starting to get a panic attack. I grabbed Richards arm and gave him a look, to my luck he knew what I wanted. "Okay everybody out. NOW." after a minute it was only me and him in the room. He gave me an oxygen mask and after some time I was able to breath again. He just sat there and waited until I was ready to talk. "Destiny, what's going on with you. I have known you since you started your training here and I have never seen you like this." I considered if I should tell him and to be honest at this point I didn't care, for me it made no sense to protect Nora anymore so I decided to tell him what's going on. "I've just been having a hard time lately." Richard just looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Nora and I broke up and I called off the engagement." It felt strange admitting that, but doing so I realized how much this whole situation was putting on me. "I don't know what to say, I'm not gonna lie. But destiny, I'm so sorry." he put away the ecg and everything and pulled a chair to sit next to me. "So physically ur health but I highly recomend you to get some days off. "Yeah I will, can I go now?" I slipped my shoes on. "Sure but as soon as you feel weird please call me." He said opening the door for me. "Thank you Richard." I left the Emergency room and went up to my station to get my things as I saw my boss Alice coming up to me. "Hey Destiny, I heard what happened, are you okay?" She asked me while going in for a Hug. "I'm good. No, to be honest, I'm not okay, I need some days off, is that okay. I know we have not enough staff but Richard said I need to rest." I knew I had to take care of my health now and was planning to do so. "Yes of course, if you need anything just tell me, you know I'll always be here for you, especially after the last time you were there for me." She finally let go of the hug. "when are you leaving?" I asked her. "actually I was supposed to leave an hour ago, its 2 p.m. and I actually have a day off today. Why?" She told me and threw a smile in my direction. "Well, since I'm going home, I could use some company, do you wanna go eat something?" I asked her and smiled back at her. "What's with Nora? You have her Company." Not again. I never went to hear that name again. I kinda want everyone to know that we split up so nobody will ask about us or her again. "Nope, I don't. Ali, look I really don't want to talk about. Long story short, We are not together anymore." I saw on her face that she wanted to say something to that or ask why and I am extremely thankful that she did not ask anything. "Alright, I'm gonna grab my things and we'll meet here again in five minutes okay." "Okay." We separated and I went back into the nursing station. The others were sitting there doing the shift handover. On the left side I saw someone I didn't know so I assumed that was the new nursing student. "Hey Destiny, how are you?" Lisa asked I completely ignored that, cleared up the documents from earlier and got my things. "Alek, I'm going to leave now, I'm sorry about that crazy day. You will take over for the next few days." I gave him a nod and left the station but I heard someone running up to me so I turned around. "get well soon my dear and call me, if you need anything. Understood?" Alek said and hugged me. "Of course and thank you." I blew him a kiss and the elevator door closed. When I got out of the elevator I saw Alice already standing there. "Hey Ali, you ready." We high- fived and walked out of the Hospital. "My Car or yours?" she asked me. "I came here with an Uber today." To be honest my car's still standing in my granddad's garage. Ali and I got into the car and she started the Radio. "You wanna go eat in a Restaurant or go to my House and order some take away, what do you prefer?" Ali questioned. "Let's get some takeaway, how about Chinese, I know you love Chinese Ali." She smiled at me and started to drive. After we got the Food we drove so her House. I've been there many times before.  A year ago Ali's boyfriend aka. a paramedic at our Hospital broke up in the worst way possible and got married to his ex a couple Months later, through that time I was here a lot and helped her with everything and ever since then we were pretty close. I actually get along with everyone in the Hospital, in general people come to me with their problems for some advices but I'm nearly never really open to people and talk about me. Ali turned up some light music again and got two glasses and a bottle of Red Wine. I placed the food on the Couch Table and sat on the floor in front of the Couch and Ali sat next to me. "Omg, I'm Starving." I grabbed the food and placed it on the Plates, I passed one Plate to Ali and started to eat. After some time we finished eating and I cleaned anything up. "This was so good, we should do that more often, Nora hated takeaway food." I told her and took another sip of my Wine. "You wanna tell me, what happened with you two." Ali slid close to me and looked at me with an apologetic look an her face. "She cheated on me so I decided to not work it out anymore and left her. That was about a week ago." To that I drank the wine that was left in my Glas. "What a Bitch, i hope karma will get her." She sad, which was totally unexpected so I just started laughing. I laught so hard that I couldn't hold in any more emotions and started to Cry very heavily. Ali took me in her Arms and held me close. After what felt like a decade I stopped crying and. we just sat there in silence. "I honestly don't know how or if I'm gonna be able to work with Nora, or even Lisa. every time I see them I feel like throwing up. And it hurts so much how fast everything changes yk?" The position we were in started to get uncomfortable so I sat up straight again. "wait, are you saying Nora cheated on you with Lisa. WTF." Ali sat there with an open mouth and a confused facial expression. "I know right?." Now that I think of Lisa's like the most straight person walking on this planet, it really surprises me, that Lisa slept with Nora. "Sorry, I didn't wanted to interrupt you, please continue talking." Ali pored me some Wine "A mouth ago my life was perfect, I was planning a Wedding, I worked with my best friend and with my fiancé. I just had the best life and suddenly these two started to distance themselves and when I came back from Zurich I catch these two. I left my apartment with nothing, everything still there and now I cant concentrate on work because I always see these two right before my face. And by now the whole Hospital got the Drama, it's just so exhausting. The biggest problem of all Is that I cant do my work properly and I worked so hard for this." I honestly told her "I totally can understand that, you have to heal from that and that takes time, take time for you and only for you." She had her Hand laying on my back now "I know. but I kinda want to get revenge, I know that's immature but at the thought of them laying in my bed and doing god knows what drives me insane. Yk what?! Nora and I hadn't had any intimacy for months because she wanted it so, she said she want's to concentrate on her work and that she's under a lot of stress and then she cheats? what kind of a Person does that?!" I stood up and screamed a little and gesticulated strongly. "Yeah, that's immature, but who cares? Do what you want to do, you need to stop worry about what others may think or what will happen. Stop thinking. Well, please not at work, there I need you, but everywhere else just do it. Nothing will happen." She stood opposite to me and gave me a tissue. My face my full of Tears and completely red. "You'r right, I should really turn my head off, but I just don't know how." I said to her and I felt the wine kicking in. "I could help you."She said to me "If you mean what I think you do then it's a really really bad idea." I told her and tried to somehow get out of this situation. "Didn't we just talked about not thinking especially not about consequences." She took a step towards me and laid her hand on the side of my neck. With that I couldn't hold back anymore. Why should I always do the right thing? Now I'm gonna try it with the wrong thing. I smashed my lips on hers and she did so too.
