𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 the second meeting with the Hydro Archon herself had finally commenced. Arlecchino had left just yesterday evening on official business, stating that she would do her best to return promptly. As promised, Childe remained nearby should anything come up.

I should've known that Lynette and Freminet would choose to be paired up together... Thought Y/N with a subtle scowl, arms folded across their chest as they sat across from Hydro Archon. This is all part of their little plan. I bet they even discussed this beforehand. I'd expect nothing less from The Knave's children.

Lyney sat on a chair beside Y/N, nervously drumming his fingers against his knee. He honestly hadn't any idea how this whole ordeal would turn out, yet he could only pray that it was in their favour. After the many incidents that occurred previously, there was absolutely no room for error. Especially not with Arlecchino's expectations.

It isn't just that, though... The magician thought, his eyebrows creasing together in concentration. Y/N and I still have to act as if we are a couple. Lady Furina still wholeheartedly believes that we're together.

"I appreciate the both of you taking time out of your day to come and meet with me like this." The Hydro Archon begun, her voice a soft yet somewhat sly chime. "I believe we, my dear people, have many topics for discussion!"

"Like when you falsely accused us?" Retorted Y/N bluntly. Lyney nodded in agreement.

"Twice, for my siblings and I." He added.

"I- Well! Straight to the point, I see." Furina chuckled in a nervous manner, her joyful expression faltering momentarily. "Um... Say, where are your siblings, Lyney?"

"They are currently occupied with a mission on the other side of Fontaine," Answered the magician without hesitation. He and Y/N had went through what to say should that particular question come up at any point. "They told me to send their apologies."

"I see..." The Archon nodded, eyeing the pair in front of her in a skeptical way. "Well, seeing as the two of you went out of your way to make an appearance, I suppose I shall entertain you!"

Y/N was quick to catch onto the odd glimmer of Furina's eyes, the slightest curl of her lips into a grin further confirming their suspicions. They furrowed their brows in curiosity, ensuring to analyse the Archon's every move.

"I know very well what it is that you're all after." Stated Furina, crossing one leg over the other as she sat, poised and perched against her desk. "I'm not as naive as you might think. I know very well that before entering my office today, you managed to successfully wipe out all of the Gardes surrounding my office... Which means that I am completely and utterly at your disposal."

"At least you're self aware..." Muttered Y/N.

"The gnosis..." They then begun, voice lowering slightly in tone. The air in the room gradually became palpable. "It isn't on you currently, is it, Lady Furina?"
