"𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑, 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 seen Y/N around? I haven't been able to find them since waking up."

The Knave hummed lowly, casting her gaze downwards at one of her children who had just made an appearance downstairs.

"I sent Y/N out on a quick mission," Explained Arlecchino to Lyney, "They shan't be too long. Do you need to see them urgently?"

Lyney was quick to shake his head. "No, Father. I was just wondering about their whereabouts, is all."

"... How are you recovering? Swiftly, I presume?"

"I'm feeling much better within myself than I was previously," Answered Lyney, followed by a lighthearted chuckle, "My body still aches a dull amount, yet that's all."

Arlecchino nodded once, her sharp eyes studying her child's condition.

"I'm pleased to hear that," She muttered, "After all, I need for you to get back out there and complete various missions and tasks for me again. Would you say that's fair?"

I'd expect nothing less. Thought the magician.

"Of course, Father. That's why I'm here, after all."

"Wonderful..." Arlecchino hummed lowly, clasping her claws together firmly. "Ah, that reminds me... I presume you've been told that I currently have the Hydro Archon's gnosis within my possession?"

Lyney nodded in response. "Yes, Father, Y/N and my siblings broke the news to me a few days ago. I'm extremely proud of them for being able to obtain it from the Oratrice."

"Mm, yes. A job well done, I'd say."

"Father... Just what is it you are planning to do now that the gnosis is within your possession? That's a huge responsibility. Are you going to hand it over to the Tsaritsa?"

The Knave pursed her lips, thinking through Lyney's question in silence. Naturally, as always, she had a particular plan that she was willing to put in motion whenever needed.

"I shall hand it over to her, yes," Replied Arlecchino, her voice low as it carried the weight of her words, "Eventually." She proceeded to add.

A short breath surpassed Lyney's lips, his eyebrow raising in confusion.

"Eventually...? Wouldn't it be beneficial to hand it over sooner rather than later?"

"Lyney."

The male tensed, feeling the other's clawed fingers perch firmly upon his shoulder. He feared that if he were to move - even by a mere inch - his body would falter and crumble to the floor. The Knave was a terrifying woman - utterly impossible to read.

"Do you doubt me?" The question rang through Lyney's ears, filled with nothing but malicious intent. The male felt an ominous feeling begin to press against his throat, clawing through his lungs as they denied him of any air.
