THE MORNING AFTER Dale's death was glum to say the least, everyone insisted that he'd be buried the moment there was a hint of sunrise—and that's exactly what happened. Rick offered to speak at the makeshift service after the groups minute of silence, most people still had shock and disbelief evident in their face which was understandable, you never really talked to Dale much but now the thought of him being gone impacted you worse than you thought. He was wise and gave good advice, he had a good heart and tried his best to look out for everyone, even if they hadn't been good to him.
Dale could get under your skin,
He sure got under mine.
Because he wasn't afraid to say exactly what he thought,
How he felt.
That kinda honesty is rare..
And brave.
Whenever I make decision,
I look at Dale,
He'd be looking back at me with that look he had.
We've all seem it one time or another,
I couldn't always read him but he could read us.
He saw people for who they were.
He knew things about us,
The truth.
About who we really are.
In the end, he was talking about losing our humanity.
He said this group is broken..
The best way to honour him is to
unbreak it.
Set aside our differences and pull together.
Stop feeling sorry for ourselves,
Take control of our lives.
Our safety.
Our future.
We're not broken,
We're gonna prove him wrong.
From now on,
We're gonna do it his way.
That is how we honor Dale....
MAGGIE AND HERSHEL were finally opening up to moving Rick's group in the house, meaning it benefits the safety of everyone and even though it's a tight squeeze it gives everyone a chance to keep an eye on eachother and the creaks were beginning to dry up meaning Rick's group were running low on water which could become a major problem fairly quickly.
Everyone was helping pack everything up to move into the house as Rick ordered people on perimeter checks and standing guard. Rick agreed that Randall would later be taken off sight and cut loose, you could only pray it goes right this time.
Everyone had jobs to do now and that was final, it had to be done quickly and as swiftly as possible.
...
EVERYONE WAS in a state of panic as T–dog announced that Randall was missing, everyone ran down to the shed in a hurry. "What's going on?" Lori asks as she grabs yours and Carl's hands protectively. "Randall's not here." T–dog tells her running a hand down his face as Rick and Daryl look around in the shed. "Cuffs are still latched." Rick points out, "Must've slipped out of them." He mumbles.
Lori scoffs lightly, "is that even possible?" She questions gripping yours and Carl's hands tighter. "It is if you have nothing to lose." Andrea comments swinging the shed door shut behind her, "the door was locked from the outside." Hershel motions to the lock as we hear a sudden yell.
"Rick! He's armed." A voice yells from behind everyone, you all turn around watching as Shane walks up to you all, blood leaking from his nose, trailing down his face as he screams on about being attacked by Randall. "He's got my gun!" He screams storming over to the group as Carl moves forward to see, "are you okay?" He asks.
"Im fine, little bastard just snuck up on me." Shane replies giving a short but reassuring look at Carl. "He clocked me in the face." He shouts turning his focus back to Rick.
