Chapter 1

1 Week after Nigel went missing

*Elias's POV*

I sat down on the chair in the kings study, I was looking over notes that the Chaotix had sent me, wanting to help with finding out where me and Sally's father went, just then there was a knock at the door of the study

Me: Who is it?

Voice: Eet's me mon ami, can I come in?

Me: Sure

The two doors then opened and Antoine walked in, closing the doors behind him

Antoine: What're you doing in here by yourself?

Me: Just..trying to figure out where my dad is..

Antoine: Ok, mind if I help?

Me: No, not at all

He smiled and walked over, and looked over at the papers, his eyes widening at the sight of my overcrowded desk

Antoine: Oh wow...

Me: They're not all from the Chaotix, other things are complaints of citizens, repairs to buildings, renovations, etc.

Antoine: Oh, what if I helped you with zat while you look over ze documents ze Chaotix gave you?

Me: *smiles* I'd appreciate that twan', but make sure to leave the things I have to sign

Antoine: Don't worry, your signature isn't hard to copy

Me: I don't know if that's a good thing..or a bad thing..

Antoine: Eet's a good thing in zis situation, but in others? Eet is a bad thing

Me: Got it..

I continued looking over the documents as Antoine took care of other stuff, just then we heard footsteps running outside the door, getting louder as they neared

Antoine: Who ze heck?

Just then the door was kicked open by a certain fox

Amadeus: Elias!

Me: Did you have to kick the door? And next time, knock!

Amadeus: No. Also, there's more important things to do right now!

Me: Like what?

Amadeus: Like dealing with Naugus! He just came through the entrance to the kingdom and is coming straight for the castle

Me/Antoine: WHAT?!/QUOI?!

I then jumped to my feet and marched over to him

Me: Why didn't you say that first?!

Amadeus: Cause you lectured me on kicking the door open before I could!

Antoine: Mes ami's!!

We both turned to him

Antoine: Concentrer!

Me: Alright, you two go try and hold him off, I'll stay here and try to get in contact with Sonic and my sister, and be careful Amadeus, Naugus is tricky, an-

Amadeus: And a wizard, I know. I got stuck in a jail with him, thanks to you

Me: First, just forget about that! And second, don't interrupt me

Antoine: Come on Amadeus!

Antoine then ran past him, motioning him to follow, but before he did, he turned to me

Amadeus: This conversation isn't over

Me: It better be

He rolled his eye and ran off after Antoine
