EVIE WASN'T AT THE TABLE FOR breakfast yet, so now would be a perfect time for Pansy to talk to Mattheo. He obviously wouldn't admit anything while Evie was around, hell he probably wouldn't even admit anything in general. But Pansy told Evie she would try, and so she did.

She walked over as she took a seat at the table. Everyone was there except for Evie. Pansy's guess was that she overslept, again.

"So, Mattheo," Pansy said. Mattheo turned to face her as he set down his water. "So, Pansy."

"Do you fancy Evie?"

Mattheo let out a frustrated sigh as he turned to face the entire group. "How many times must I tell you idiots that I don't fancy Evie?"

"Come on, mate!" Draco said. "You literally kissed her."

"He did what?!" Theo said, his eyes full of anger in a split second.

"It wasn't even on the lips, Theo, chill. I told you I wouldn't try anything with your little sister and besides! It was to get the damn mudbloods off of her back since they can't seem to leave her alone," Mattheo spoke up in defense of himself, not trying to start a fight with his best friend. Although deep down, he knew that wasn't why he kissed her.

"Wait, she told you all?" he said after a moment of silence.

"She told me, I didn't know she told them," Pansy said.

Draco shook his head as Enzo spoke up. "Potter's been blabbing his damn mouth all morning about it. I'm sure the whole school has heard."

As chaos broke out in the group, talking about their suspicions between the two, Theodore grew annoyed by it all. But after Mattheo heard about Harry, he wanted nothing more but to break his jaw.

Mattheo stood from the table, looking towards the Gryffindor table where he spotted Harry talking to some Hufflepuffs. He could only guess what it was about. "I'll be back," he said as he stormed away from the Slytherin table and towards the Gryffindor table.

"Mattheo, come on! It's seven in the bloody morning!" Pansy said, watching as she walked to the Golden Trio.

Mattheo approached Harry, practically lifting him off of his seat as he grabbed his shirt, yanking him. "I'd suggest you stop running your mouth about Evie and I, Potter."

"Oh yeah? Or what?"

Mattheo didn't even hesitate as he landed a punch across the other boys jaw. However, he didn't know that the moment it landed, Evie entered the Great Hall. She had already walked halfway across the room, just in time to see Mattheo and Harry fighting on the floor. Even though Mattheo was winning, he had blood down his lip and the bridge of his nose.

Pansy met Evie halfway as she began to apologize. "Evie, I swear I didn't mean to start anything..."

"It's okay, Pans, I know," Evie said quickly as she rushed over to the fight. She practically had to yank Mattheo off of Harry. "Stop it, stop it!" she yelled, which was the only thing that made the swings stop.

"Watch what you say about her, Potter," Mattheo spat.

After Evie managed to calm down Mattheo, she decided to bring him back to her dorm to clean up the blood on his face. There wasn't much she could do about the blood on his shirt, but she was pretty decent at cleaning up wounds.

She had Mattheo sat up on the counter of her bathroom as she used a wet rag, which was wet with peroxide, to wipe off the stained blood from his chin and nose. She was about to wipe on his lip, but she saved that spot for last because the wound would most likely hurt more with the peroxide.

"That was stupid, you know," Evie said as she wiped his chin.

"He was talking about how I kissed you. He needed to be stopped." He was looking forward at the wall behind her, which he had been doing this entire time.

"Wasn't the whole plan to fool everyone? To make them believe we were a couple? What's wrong with him saying what actually happened?"

"He's making it out like you're some slut or something, Evie. I heard more of what he was saying to those Hufflepuffs as I walked over. He may be "the chosen one" but he's an asshole." Mattheo paused his speech for a moment. He looked away from the wall as he looked down at Evie. "I'm not going to have Potter of all people make you out to be something you're not."

Evie paused for a moment as his brown eyes met her deep blue ones. He only looked at her like this when they were out in public. But now, they were alone in her bathroom. "I didn't know you cared."

"Of course I care, Evie. I don't want you around them and I don't want them talking about you in such disgusting ways."

"What did they say?" She wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to know the whole story about it. She could have just left it at the fact Harry was talking badly of her, but there was a small part inside of her that just couldn't leave it at that.

Mattheo let out a small sigh. "He was saying how he bets you've kissed all of the boys, even might have slept with us."

Evie scoffed out of both anger and sadness. "You didn't even kiss me on the lips, why would he even—"

As Evie began to wipe against the wound on his lip, he let out a small huff as he grabbed ahold of her hand. "Do you get why I hit him now?" Evie gave him a nod. "Good. Evie, why don't we stay in the dorms today. We've already missed most of our first class anyways and I think we both need a break."

"As long as I don't have to see Potter, deal."

~~

Evie and Mattheo were laid in her bed, watching a film on her television. As the day went on and the time got later, Evie began to get more tired. Mattheo had his arm around her and she was in an amazing state of comfortableness.

Evie let out a yawn, causing Mattheo to glance over to her. "Sleepy?"

"Yeah."

"Get some rest, don't stay up Evie."

"It's rude to just go to sleep when there's people over," she said through another yawn.

"I don't mind. I'll stay here with you, okay? Get some sleep darling."

Despite her efforts, Evie allowed herself to fall asleep. As her eyes shut and she drifted off further into sleep, her head fell against Mattheo's chest. She didn't bother to move it, and he clearly didn't mind since just before she fully fell asleep, she felt Mattheo wrap his other arm over her.
