Fairy Lin Xi sat in class, her eyes shining with excitement as Professor Lumin described the mortal realm. "In this world, people have no magical powers. They rely on their talents, skills, and hard work to make a living."
Lin Xi's curiosity was piqued. She had never imagined a life without magic. "Professor Lumin, how do they survive without powers?" she asked, her hand shooting up.
Professor Lumin smiled. "Ah, Lin Xi, that's the beauty of it. They've developed remarkable abilities, like art, music, and innovation. Their talents are their powers."
Lin Xi's hand shot up again. "Professor Lumin, can we visit the mortal realm?"
Professor Lumin's expression turned serious. "Only high-ranking fairies and officials are allowed to visit the mortal realm without permission. Students and low-ranking fairies need special permission, which is rarely granted without a compelling reason."
The Pixie twins snickered, and one of them whispered loudly, "Yeah, and you'll never get permission, Lin Xi! You're too weak!"
The other fairies giggled, and Lin Xi's face grew hot. "Hey, my powers may not be the strongest, but I'm willing to learn and work hard!"
The Pixie twins laughed. "You'll need more than hard work to survive in the mortal realm! You'll be lucky to last a day without your magic to protect you!"
Lin Xi's determination only grew stronger. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to try. "I'll find a way," she said quietly, her eyes fixed on Professor Lumin, who was watching her with a thoughtful expression.
The class ended, and Professor Lumin stepped down from the podium. A group of fairies, including the mischievous Pixie twins, gathered around Lin Xi. "Hey, Lin Xi, still dreaming of going to the mortal realm?" they teased.
Lin Xi stood tall, her shoulders back confidently. "Why not? I want to see how they live, how they create without magic."
The Pixie twins snickered. "You'll get bored without powers. The human's are so... ordinary."
Lin Xi smiled sweetly. "Ordinary can be extraordinary. I want to experience it for myself."
With that, she walked away, leaving the giggling fairies behind. Little did they know, Lin Xi's fascination with the mortal realm was only just beginning...
As Lin Xi left the classroom, her slender fingers brushed against the delicate petals of the enchanted flowers that lined the walls. To her touch, the buds burst into bloom, releasing a sweet fragrance and a soft, golden light. Her long, curly brown hair bounced with each step, and her bright green eyes sparkled with determination. She wore a flowing white dress with intricate silver embroidery, cinched at the waist with a belt made of woven flower stems. A sprinkle of glittering dust on her cheeks and the delicate wings tattoo on her shoulders (a symbol of her fairy heritage) completed her ethereal look.
The flowers' response to her touch was a subtle reminder of her fairy magic, which seemed to grow stronger with her connection to nature. A tiny, shimmering crystal pendant hung from her neck, a gift from her mentor, Professor Lumin. The pendant glowed softly, indicating Lin Xi's growing magical abilities.
As she walked, the soft rustle of her dress and the sweet scent of blooming flowers trailed behind her, leaving a hint of magic in the air.
That night Lin Xi gazed out the window of her room, lost in thought. The soft moonlight illuminated her slender figure, and her long, curly brown hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her bright green eyes sparkled with wonder, reflecting her fascination with the mortal realm.
Her mother, Lianhua, entered the room, her gentle voice breaking the silence. "Lin Xi, how was your day? How's Professor Lumin's class?"
Lin Xi turned from the window, her eyes still shining with excitement. "It was fascinating, Mother! We learned about the mortal realm. I wish I could see it for myself."
