"THE YELLOW and blue banners, not the plain blue ones!" Sol exclaimed as she paced back and forth throughout her best friend's office, the newest iPhone held up towards her ear. An item that was a necessity for the main planner of Cotillion.
"Sol, I'm sure everything is going to end up fine. Stop arguing with people for a minute and come listen to me rant." The king sighed, running a hand through his golden hair, taking the crown off that sat atop his head most days.
"I'm sure it's just a bump in your relationship. You both have been under a lot of pressure lately, and one of you was bound to snap, shocked it was you, though." The blonde giggled as she finished her sentence, taking her friend into a quick hug before looking over at the large wooden doors that had been forcefully nudged open by none other than her other most dear friend, Evie.
"Evie! Come on in." Ben spoke over the squealing girl beside him, who had run up and embraced Bluenette, Sol was quick to pull away when she noticed she seemed to be down.
Her face was curved into a frown, barely hugged the girl back before she looked down into her right hand, a piece of paper along with something circular and shiny that looked awfully similar to Sol.
"Ben... Mal's gone back to the isle." She sighed, taking a few steps forward, pushing a note into Ben's hand with the gold ring he had once given her.
Sol held her breath as the boy across from her read the note, not daring to speak up as the air around them thickened with concern and slight grief.
"This is my fault! this is my fault I blew it." The king said, stammering on his words a little. "She'd been under so much pressure lately, and instead of being understanding, I just went all beast on her!" He roared, earring-pitted looks from both of the girls in the room.
Sol had known the struggles that both Ben and Mal faced throughout these past months, as they had confided with her about the relationship struggles, both teens' heads barely above the surface as they became royals.
"I have to go there and apologise, I have to go there and beg her to come back," Ben stated, which earned a raised eyebrow from Sol.
Not because of the Isle, but more so, does he not understand how big that place is?
"Ben, you'll never find her!" Evie exclaimed, proving Sol's thoughts "You need to know the Isle and how it works." She spoke sharply, a loud exhale escaping her throat when she noticed the boy staring out the window, which had a perfect overview of the isle.
"You have to take me with you", Evie admitted, Ben was quick to turn around and agree with her, quite strongly, might I add.
"Me too," Sol butted in, ignoring the looks from the two. "Are you sure..?" Ben questioned.
Sol was slightly hurt they assumed she wouldn't want to go save her best friend, all because she was on the Isle out of all places.
"Yeah, she's our best friend", Sol smiled, grabbing Evie's hand in a way of comfort.
"And we'll bring the boys too because we're safe two more numbers, and none of us are really too popular over there right now", She spoke, spinning around, only to turn back a second later to face Ben and Sol.
"But let's get two things straight. You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again."
Sol felt her heart crack at the girl's words. What had happened over there that made those kids so paranoid about going back? Sure, she knew it was a horrible place where resources were scarce, and it was a town where all the big bad villains lurked. But what hid between the cracks of stories that the Auradon kid's parents had told them, were they feeding them pure lies? Or were they just simply, blissfully unaware?
After Ben had sworn that he promised the poor girl she and her crew weren't going to wind up there again, a small smirk appeared on her face.
"Oh, and there's no way you two are getting anywhere near the Isle, looking like that." She spoke, chuckling when the girl next to her gasped.
"Makeover!!" Sol squealed, spinning on her heel and exiting the king's office with Evie, adrenaline running throughout her veins.

Sol hummed at herself in amusement as she flatted out her black leather jacket. She wore a dainty pink, halter neck body suit, which paired perfectly with her black ruffle leather mini skirt, along with her boots, which were the same shade as her top.
"Not bad, hey?" She questioned towards Evie, whose arm was hung lazily around her shoulder. "Not bad at all, now let's go" The girl winked, pulling Sol towards the large wooden door.
The skirt Sol wore did not have enough coverage to protect her from the wind that smacked strongly against her bronzed legs, but she looked gorgeous, and it hugged her figure nicely, so she wasn't going to whine about the circumstances too much.
"Jay, keys, remote!" Ben yelped as the five of them ran down the concrete stairs, each of them flaring up with panic when Evie made them seem like they'd forgotten something, exclaiming that something seemed to be very wrong.
"There", She breathed out, as the worry seemed to just be Ben's lopsided beanie. Sol was going to make a commentary about how she scared them half to death and to not do it again but was quick to turn around and face a voice that spoke, who they had quite never heard before.
"Shotgun!" The small mutt hollered, earring confused looks, along with a slight gasp coming from Sol.
"Did he just...?" Jay spoke up, being quickly cut off by Carols, who looked slightly annoyed, as he had just given a lecture to the creature on how he was not able to come.
"Talk? Yeah, I know, I'll tell you guys everything later," The De-Vil boy spoke as they each piled into the car, beginning to discuss the plan of where they're headed, sparks of curiosity and nerves floating throughout Sol's mind.
