I HADEN'T SLEPT at all last night, but at least I had a long flight to make up for it. I'd packed my bags overnight and was ready to go by the time the sun had risen.

I was glad Oscar had invited me on the jet, I wasn't the biggest fan of flights and there'd be a lot of those throughout the season.

Just as I left my room, dragging my luggage with me I saw Norris do the same. We acknowledged each other with our eyes but nothing else.

I pulled on the heavy suitcase (jam packed with enough things for the season) across the hallway to the elevator trying to balance my handbag as well.

Lando seemed to notice as he offered to help from behind. "You need help with that?"

I shook my head in refusal. "I'm fine."

We both stood by the elevator that seemed to be taking an abnormally long time to reach our level in complete silence.

"Did you manage to find Osc?," he'd asked out of the blue.

"Mhm." I gave him a look. "Did you manage to sleep past my knocking?"

"Barely."

I scoffed at his exaggeration. "I'm glad."

The doors to the elevator opened and I walked in first, pressing the button to the ground floor.

He walked in after me and the silence took over once more, nothing but soft elevator music playing in the background as we both impatiently waited to get out.

As soon as the doors slid open I was first to leave, checking out at the front desk before meeting Oscar by the valet.

"Ready for Miami, El?," he asked excitedly.

I'd been once a long time ago and remembered liking it a lot. "Yeah, you?"

"Yup." He looked over to Lando who was still at the front desk. "Jet leaves today Lando,"He called out to him.

Norris turned to him with a playful eye roll, flipping him off simultaneously. As he turned back around I noticed he'd already given up his key. He was just conversing with the young lady at the desk. A beautiful curly haired brunette whose pearly white teeth shone in her smile.

It was a few more minutes before he finally joined us by the entrance to the hotel, a grin on his face as he approached.

"Well you look awfully happy," Oscar observed.

Lando shrugged, a hand in his pocket and another on his luggage. "Just like usual."

"Now that's a fat lie." Oscar pointed an accusatory finger at him before taking notice to the girl at the desk who was still smiling from ear to ear. "Wait, mate. She's totally into you."

"Yeah I know." His cockiness was aggravating.

I rolled my eyes. "Wait until she actually meets you."

Norris just looked at me with a look I couldn't read. "Wouldn't want her to fall in love with me."

I scoffed. "Quite the opposite actually."

"Guys can we just get in the car?," Oscar urged.

I tore my gaze away, pulling my luggage to the car. Oscar helped me get it in the trunk before I ran to get shotgun before Lando could.

He only looked at me in amusement, opening the door to sit in the back. I would've thought he'd at least put up a fight but guess not.

Oscar and I's shared playlist left off on where we'd last left it, spewing out of the car speakers as the two of us sang along, Lando just scrolling through his phone in the backseat.
