Over the past hundred years, Athena had discovered a unique and powerful gift-she could shapeshift. This ability allowed her to take on any form, seamlessly blending into her surroundings or becoming anyone she wished. Through rigorous practice and with Milo's guidance, she had perfected her skill. Her signature form, one that she often used for reconnaissance, was that of a raven with a single crimson feather in its tail.

The discovery of this gift had been a revelation, adding a new dimension to her already formidable abilities. It gave her an edge, an advantage that few could anticipate. Milo had been instrumental in helping her harness this power, pushing her to explore the limits of her capabilities. But as the years passed, their relationship grew more complex, tinged with manipulation and unspoken feelings.

When the letter arrived, informing her that Milo was being held hostage, Athena knew she had to act quickly. She couldn't let her emotions cloud her judgment. She needed a plan, and her gift would be crucial in executing it.

Dressed in her usual dark attire, Athena stepped outside the fortress, the cool mountain air sharpening her focus. With a deep breath, she closed her eyes and concentrated. Her form began to shift, bones and muscles rearranging themselves as feathers sprouted from her skin. In moments, she had transformed into a raven, sleek and black, with a single crimson feather standing out against the dark plumage.

Taking flight, Athena soared over the rugged terrain, her sharp eyes scanning the landscape below. The old factory on the outskirts of the city was her destination. It was a relic from a bygone era, its once-thriving machinery now silent and rusted. The perfect place for a clandestine meeting-or a trap.

As she approached the factory, Athena circled high above, careful not to draw attention. She spotted a group of armed men stationed around the building, their expressions tense and watchful. Her keen vision soon zeroed in on Milo. He was inside the factory, bound to a chair, but notably unarmed. They were clearly using him as bait, hoping to lure her into a trap.

Athena's heart pounded with a mix of fear and determination. She would not let them take Milo from her. Hovering above, she assessed the situation, formulating a plan. She needed to act with precision and patience. Rushing in could cost both of them their lives.

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows over the factory, Athena made her move. She flew to a nearby tree, transforming back into her human form. Hidden by the foliage, she took a moment to steady her breathing, her mind racing with possibilities. The men were heavily armed, but she had the element of surprise on her side.

She knew that their original plan to eliminate the sixty men would have to wait. Milo's safety was her priority, and she needed to act carefully. She decided to take a different approach-she would target the family of the man who held Milo captive. By striking at his heart, she could slowly dismantle his defenses and gain leverage.
