Y/n POV
~~~~~~~~“Oh, you messed up, baby. You messed up big-time. I told you to take it down. You’ll ruin my hotel if they find out.” Dracula's displeasure was palpable as we trailed behind him through the cemetery. His sharp, disapproving glances and muttered complaints made it clear that he did not appreciate our presence. With each step, his frustration seemed to grow, as if our mere existence was an intrusion on his solitude.
“Well, maybe you’re just jealous that people are finally making fun of this place.” I glanced at Johnny who was trying to argue with Dracula.
“Oh, that? That was not fun. Everyone running, jumping, swimming with no order. That was the opposite of fun.” Dracula argued back.
I watched the two as they argued back and forth.
“Look at me. You remember nothing of this encounter. You have no memory of this place or the monsters you met. Now go and never return.” I tilted my head when I saw Dracula's eyes turning red.
“Wait, never return to the hotel?” Johnny asked, making Dracula confused.
“What? You were supposed to forget the hotel. I just used my powers to erase your memory. I looked straight into your eyes!”I furrowed my eyebrows, the unsettling thought of Dracula using his powers on Johnny lingered in my mind. Despite my initial anger at the situation, I couldn't shake the guilt that began to settle in my chest. It dawned on me that we had caused nothing but trouble at Dracula's hotel, a place that belonged to him, not us. The realization that our actions had done nothing but aggravate him weighed heavily on me. I knew that it was not our place to disrupt the peace of his establishment, and yet we had done just that.
“Listen to me. You are never to return here. You are to stay away and never tell humans about this place. Or I will track you down and suck every ounce of blood from your body until you look like a deflated whoopee cushion! Be gone.” Dracula threatened before transforming into a bat leaving us at the cemetery.
“Can you believe that guy?” Johnny looked while pointing at where Dracula had flown off.
“He probably has his reasons, Johnny. Let's leave okay? After all it's his hotel not ours were just mere…guests?” Johnny sighed before nodding. I looked at the hotel before walking away from it.
“But seriously suck my blood..? I should've said, ‘I'm staying, old man!’ Give him a Bruce Lee kick. Boom! Right in the-'' I followed behind Johnny, my gaze fixed on the floor, I unintentionally collided with him. Startled, I looked up to see him trembling. In a split second, he darted behind me, and that's when I saw a bat.
“Hi Maven.” I smiled at the bat who transformed into Maven.
“How did you know?” He looked at me surprised.
“Your bat size is a bit smaller than Dracula.” I somewhat lied, refusing to admit that his eyes were the reason I knew it was him. His eyes were the first thing that caught my attention, drawing me in with their familiarity and depth.
“Follow me!” He grabbed my hand and was about to lead me somewhere.
“Maven we can't, we have to leave.” I told him and when he looked back with a hurt expression I was caught off guard,I felt my heart aching.
“Yeah! Your dad will be angry!” Johnny joined in.
“He won't know, please just once? It'll be fun…?” I stared at him.
Maven POV
~~~~~~~~~~
I was quite upset when I learned that Y/n was leaving, along with Johnny, but my feelings were particularly strong for Y/n. I found it difficult to accept that she would no longer be here at the hotel. Despite the fact that I had only recently met her, I had developed a strong liking for her. Her presence seemed to bring a certain lightness to my days, and I found myself drawn to her in a way that I couldn't quite explain.
“Come on Y/n! We'll leave after the fun!” Johnny smiled at Y/n.
“You sure your dad won't see us?” She looked up at me as I nodded excitedly. “Then okay…”
I smiled at them before leading them up to the roof.
“Whoa!” Johnny smiled.
“Beautiful right?” I looked over to Y/n who was silently enjoying the view. Out of nowhere Johnny fell through the roof.
“Johnny!” Y/n shouted, we both looked down and saw Johnny landed on dad's lap.
“Hmm, I guess Johnny had second thoughts.” Uncle Frank pointed at Johnny.
“Where's the other one?” Dad asked Johnny who pointed up at us.
~~~~~
“I can't before you both stuck around!” He glared at us.
“We were going to leave really, but then…” I stopped talking, not wanting Maven to get in trouble. “Then we saw Maven going somewhere and got curious, so we followed him.”
“You both don’t get it! Bad things are coming your way.” I tilted my head confused. “I got to get my thoughts together!” He looked away from us. “Okay. You see these tables? You can spend the entire day pulling them out and placing them, party planners. He grabbed Johnny's collar.
“Well, fantastic. I’m trapped here. Now I know how your son feels.” Johnny rolled his eyes.
“Johnny.” I glanced at Johnny.
“Sorry.” He whispered before pushing a table that was making a loud scratch.
“Enough! Enough! Stop! Go to your corner, you're in a timeout!” Dracula yelled at Johnny who had an offended expression.
“Timeout?! I'm a grown man!” Dracula uses his magic to throw Johnny away to the corner of the room, putting his thumb into his mouth, he then spins him around to look at the wall and makes him sit down. He looked over at me then back at the table.
“Okay. Table 57, please move to position 23.” Table 57 flew up and went to position 23. I stared at the table amazed.
“36 up!” I look behind me to see Johnny flying on the table.
“31 to 19.” The table flew and hit Johnny's table as he fell down and landed on the other table.
“24 up!” He shouted excitedly as the table flew over to Dracula at the speed of light. I peeked over to look at Dracula's expression. My eyes smiled to myself when I saw him grin.
“Oh, where’d you go, grandpa?” Johnny asked, looking around for Dracula who was hanging upside down on a table.
“Don’t freak out, gravity face.” Dracula answered smiling seeing them having fun I decided to join.
“35 up!” I sat on the table as it flew up, we began flying around as Dracula chased after us.
“27, 45, 65, 76, 48, block their path. Block their path!” Dracula commanded as the table did what he said. Me and Johnny shared a look before jumping at the same time. We landed on a table and noticed Dracula falling down.
“We've got you buddy!” The table caught Dracula, then flew out of the room. I watched Dracula and Johnny trying to push each other off for some time. I playfully rolled my eyes before kicking them both off. Only Dracula fell off since Johnny knew of my attack.
“Nice try sis! I know how you are when you think your opponents are off guard.” Johnny hung on to the table as it kept flying.
“Whatever you say baby brother!” I was about to attack when I was tied up along with Johnny.
