After the meeting, it was only Jotaro and Amira in the room "Jotaro...can I ask you soemthing?"
Jotaro looked over at her, his expression calm. "What is it?"
"Do you...trust me?" she asked.
Jotaro was taken slightly off guard by her question. He paused, his eyes studying her for a moment before answering.
"Trust is earned, not given freely. I have no reason to distrust you, but I don't have a reason to trust you completely either. Not yet."
"I guess I should have worded it differently...Do you really think I am your enemy?"
Jotaro's expression darkened slightly. He still couldn't shake the lingering distrust and suspicion he felt towards her.
"I don't know... I can't rule out the possibility that you're a spy for Dio or his minions. I need more information to know for sure."
"I see." she nodded. Wishing she could prove herself him.
Jotaro watched her for a moment, his gaze intense. He could sense her need to convince him of her innocence. But he wasn't easily swayed by words alone.
"I'll keep an open mind for the moment. But don't take my trust lightly. I have reasons for my suspicions."
"I know...and I understand.." she looked at him "It's...just....upsetting that because of my stand...it seems we've drifted pretty far apart" her eyes widened at the way her words sounded
Jotaro stiffened slightly at her words, his heart skipping a beat. He had not expected her to say that, and it took him by surprise.
He looked at her, his eyes narrowing a little. "What do you mean by that?"
"I was really enjoying getting to know you, jotaro...but I mean...I wanted to keep my stand a secret when you saw it...in fear that you wouldn't want anything to do with me anymore....when I saw your expression when you saw my stand in class....I couldn't even think straight."
Surprise flickered in Jotaro's eyes as he listened to her words. He hadn't considered that she had been worried about his reaction to her stand. His expression softened slightly, his guard dropping slightly.
"I...see."
He paused for a moment before speaking again.
"You were afraid I wouldn't want anything to do with you because of your stand?"
"I didn't know you all had them as well...but I suppose it makes sense since you can see mine...Judging from your reaction to it I assumed you hated people with stands."
Jotaro leaned back against the wall, his arms folded across his chest. He let out a small sigh.
"I wouldn't say I hate people with stands as a whole. But the fact that you have one made it impossible to trust you completely. It's something I've been trying to avoid thinking about."
Jotaro's expression became serious again as he continued.
"Having a stand brings danger with it. Many of my previous encounters with stand users have led to injury or death. It's not a power to be taken lightly, and it can be difficult to tell who's a friend and who's an enemy."
she nods slowly "No...that makes sense."
Jotaro observed her expression, noticing a hint of disappointment.
"You wanted things to be different, didn't you?"
"yeah...I did."
Jotaro's expression softened a little more. There was something in her voice that tugged at his heartstrings. He wanted to believe her, but he couldn't shake off the lingering uncertainty inside him.
"I...can understand that. It's not easy to trust people these days, especially when so much is at stake."
Jotaro paused, his mind working over the situation. He wanted to bridge the gap between them, but he struggled to find the right words.
"You have to understand... this situation is complicated. I want to trust you, but I need more than just words to convince me that you're not our enemy."
"It's alright, jotaro...I understand. I just hope soon enough, you guys will find the evidence you need to trust me."
Jotaro nodded slightly, his eyes studying her once more. He could sense her disappointment, and a part of him felt guilty for causing it. But he had to set emotions aside for now, as much as he wanted to give in to them.
"We'll find the evidence, one way or another. Just be patient."
