"What is it?" Ethan watched Arabella with a worried look. "Bambi?"

"We've gotta go." Arabella jumped to her feet, leaving everything that was around her and began to sprint towards her boyfriend's car.

Ethan copied her and got to his feet, but hesitated at the blanket full of things. "What about-"

"Just leave it!" She yelled back, continuing to run at her fastest pace up the hill.

Ethan let out an annoyed sigh. He left their picnic on the ground and ran towards his car. "Bella, baby. I need you to tell me what's going on." He slammed his car door shut, not waiting for her door to be closed before starting the engine.

"I think Damon saw us."

"What does-"

"He said my family is dead, starting with me. We need to get to the office. I need to call my parents." She rushed out. Tapping through her phone to find her father's number, she raised the device to her ear. Her heart was pounding. She had fucked it all up.

Ethan sped through the streets with a ringing in his ear. Suddenly everything was becoming too real. What the fuck had he got himself involved in. He reached a hand out to smooth his thumb over Arabella's knee. He had nothing to say. He just knew that nothing could happen to her. It was his job now, she was his to protect.

"Pa? Are you still at the office?" Ari rushed.

Robert took a moment to respond. "What's wrong, Belle?" He was still in the building. In the lobby to be exact. He and his wife were about to head out to grab some dinner before heading back home. He grabbed Kimberly by the shoulder, stopping her in her tracks.

"Damon knows I'm playing him. He's going to kill us all, starting with me." Having not been in this situation before, her panic was through the roof. Frankly, as it should be.

She could hear her father laughing through the phone. "Baby, we need to stay here. Ari needs us." He spoke to his wife. Kimberly was also a tad bit confused but followed her husband back to the elevator.

"Pa?"

"Trust me, darling, no one is going to get near you. You aren't going to die, that's a promise." Robert's voice was deep, his eyes were dark. He hadn't had an opportunity like the one before him in a while. He couldn't help but enjoy the rush that coursed through his veins. "I'm going to call your uncle. You have nothing to worry about."

"I love you, Papa."

"And we love you, baby." Robert hung up and immediately dialed Cole's phone.

The elevator doors slid open just as Kimberly caught Robert's attention. "What's wrong?"

Robert wrapped his arm around his wife and pulled her out into the hall. Heading towards his office, a smirk on his face. "We're ending this whole thing for good."

"What do you mean?" She looked up at him, confusion laced in her eyes.

"After today it's over. Were ending the Gibson bloodline."

Cole answered before either Robert or Kimberly could say any more. "What's the matter, Robert? I'm at Zoe's." He sounded like he was moving about with the phone to his ear.

Robert didn't mean to do this to him at such an important time, but if Robert's family goes down, Damon will go for Cole's next. He needed his help to make sure no Gibson remained. Cole was in this just as much as Robert was.

"Damon has caught on. He's coming for us. Arabella first." He spoke straight out, not wanting to beat around the bush.

An animalistic grunt erupted from Cole's throat. "I'll get to the safe house and use the computer there. I need you to make sure everyone has an earpiece in." He turned to his wife and kissed her. She watched him with a curious look. "It's important, I'll be back. You stay here with Zoe. I love you."
