Minor curses

After the yesterdays incident, I need to be very careful and get strong very quickly, I feel like I no longer can trust anyone.
I woke up early today, packed my books, took a light outfit and head out to the forest while they were sleeping. I think I walked about two kilometres west from the base when I finally found a good spot to study.
But more then relying on knowledge, I need to figure out Aura's face. If I do everything is going to be easier. So I took a pencil and started to draw femine face portraits.

Finally I made one I was proud of, I really loved her look. So I looked at the picture and tried to call her name. But noone responded.
,,What was I even thinking? There is no way I could randomly draw a face I have never seen before."
I need to keep learning the herbs and flowers... No other choice.

Indeed, I have learned all the descriptions and came back at the evening, hungry and exhausted. I am surprised, noone looked for me the whole day. I didn't even say hello to them and went straight to the greenhouse so that I can learn the flowers to their names and descriptions.

On the way to my room I have met the old mister and he asked me:
,,How was your studying today?"
,,How do you know I haven't been slacking off the whole day?"
,,That's because I know you were startled yesterday, that was the whole purpose of the test, to remind you that your life is in danger."
,, Everything you say, I know, but I am so damned tired from all the books, endless memorising, failures and everyday exhaustion, that I can not really move forward. I feel like I am being stuck in a circle with people I can't trust."
,, Come with me, I will show you something."
He took me back to the library and gave me his journal.
,,If you read this, you will see how I was trained and how long has it taken for me to learn something."
Then he left.
Just from the pure interest, I opened his journal:

Today is my first day of the training, my life is going to change. Ever since my mister discovered I am capable of wielding magic, he made me quit school and took me in.
But the truth wasn't something I imagined.
He threw me into a dark room without a light and told me, that If I seek light, I will need to create it. I got no food or water for two days, when he finally opened the door. And told me, that I am a total failure, that I should die in this room because I am no good for the world.
That's the moment I lost my mind and set the whole room on fire. I lost my control, focus and my only objection was to kill the men that locked me up in this room.
After he figured out I was able to use magic, he left me out and used a calming magic upon me, so that I can't hurt him or burn down his house. He made me learn and focus by using control over spells, made me die hundred times in an illusion spells with no pain resistance. But in the end... I was able to cast high level sorcery in just one month.

,,Oh my god, that's just gross, how could he do that. I would just run away or something."

The next day:
,,Mister, I am very sorry for nagging yesterday. I need to ask you something, why didn't you run away when you knew that men was no good?"
,,I knew what I wanted, I wanted to protect people I loved.
By the way, haven't you seen Tianji?"
,,No I haven't, has he gone somewhere?"
,, Something strange is going on, I know it. He is up to something, just only if I knew what is happening. Just in case, isn't there anything you should tell me?"
He caught me, but I still decided to stay quiet, for my own safety."
,,No, there is nothing to mention sir."

Then I left room and tried to call Ryu on his phone, of course, his power off like always. So I started my routine day.

In the evening, while drinking my selftmade tea, I heared a strange noise coming out from the hall across, where Ryu's room is. So I decided to go and check.

I opened the door without knocking and I saw his half naked body all hurt by some sharp objects and black holes in his chest.
,,Ryu!" I slammed the door. ,,What happened? Who has done this to you?"
,,Since you are already there, don't ask and help me. These holes are signs of a curse, I need you to go break it.".
,,But how do I break a curse? I have never done it before."
,,Then I am going to die."
,,I am going to tell your mister, he is going to help you."
,,No don't!" And he grabbed my hand.
,,I will tell you what to do. It's not that hard."
,,Then speak, what do I do"
,,Since you can't do magic, what you are going to do is a purging ritual. You will need a drop of blood from both of us, pink vein flower and a bloom from the moonlight Lili flower."
,,But that one is poisonous."
,,I know, but I am not going to drink it. Now hurry up before I die."
So I took all the things I needed and made and came back.
,,Very good

,,I really don't believe that the curses are so easy to break".
,, This one was just a minor one, but it's not possible to break your own curse."

I took care of his injuries and he has been smiling the whole time, after I finished I asked him:
,,Why are you smirking the whole time?!"
Then he took the bandages I put on him down, and used a spell to cure it.
Just in that moment I got mad, left his room and slammed the doors hard.
