9: Origin of The Dwellers

10 Awakens

Entry 5. 10 awakens.

The 26th of August.

"Just as she promised, Masilda has brought her Homunculus to life at 8:37 this morning.  However, the process proved to be too much for my daughter.  She nearly passed out after ten seconds while transferring a piece of her soul to her chosen Homunculi.
Despite my worries, she does not regret her decision.  In my daughter's own words 'We have 10 amongst us now, that's all that matters'.

10 was a restless one when she woke, struggling at the binds that held her in place, and struggled to get out of my daughter's grasp only to fall to the table, much like 20 did. She just glared up at us as she tried to stand on her newborn legs, we could tell she was determined to get far from us.... She eventually gave up after an hour. She's definitely a free spirit, that's for sure, she been exploring and climbing up objects since she came to life.

The others took a liking to 10, apart from 20 who lost a glare off to her, after she kicked him in the leg. She seems to enjoy being with Fala, having full conversations with each other, except they had to write to each other due to a lack of a voice (I knew Julius forgot something). 10's interactions with 14 is quite funny to watch; To where 14 tries to avoid people, 10 tries to get him to open up to her and the others.  Unfortunately his reluctance won out. She's definitely skilled in combat as well, hence she took 20 on in a fight, which ended with Fala and 14 breaking up the fight. It was quiet the spectacle to watch.

When night fell, we found the Homunculi all cuddling in the basket, keeping each other warm, we were surprised to see 14 & 20 in the pile of blankets, we also saw 10 watching them from the rim of the basket.  She ended up joining them after an hour.  It warms my heart to see this new family truly coming together.  I can see that my daughter pleased with this.  I share her sentiment.

We decided to gave 10 the Pyro stone, to use to keep her group warm during the cold nights. I believe this group will be in safe hands with 10 around.

Tomorrow we start the preparations for the next Homunculus to give life to.

Update, 11:53 at night: "My daughter in law has decided to bring a Homunculus to life early tomorrow morning, but I'm not keen on her decision. For context; My daughter in law, Rebecca Swan, is of a different religion called "Paganism" which apparently (according to Malcolm) predates Christianity and worships other known gods and goddesses. I don't know if this is my own beliefs screaming at me but I feel this can only end badly, but she's my baby boy's wife and she makes him happy."
