I wake up to Noah coughing and I go in and check on him and he's coughing, snoring and he's warm
"Mom" he says in a squeaky voice
"Hey baby I'm going to go get the thermometer because you're lire warm ok" I say and go get a thermometer
I take his medicine and he has a fever and it hurts like he has the flu,
"You have a fever so you can at least stay at home tomorrow so we can see how you are" I say to Noah and he nods
"Good night" I say and he kisses my forehead and goes to bed
***The next day***
I get up, call me and Noah sick for today and go to Kai
Me: hi I can't come to school today Noah is sick so I don't know how long I'll be gone. can you send over what i should do today?
Kai: ok I can come over and drop off your things and tell Noah to recover.
Me: I will, thank you very much🫶🏻
I go make breakfast for me and Noah
I go into his room and wake him up
"Hey baby how are you" I ask
"I'm hot and snotty, my throat hurts," he says
"Okay I have breakfast and try to eat some breakfast okay" I say
"Okay" says Noah and we go out to eat breakfast
***time skip***
I have cleaned and taken care of Noah and we have watched a movie and now he is sowing
It clicks and I go to open it and it's kai
"Hey thanks for giving me my things" I say
"It was so little but I also shopped for you so you didn't have to" he says and shows a bag of food and my books
"That's too much, thank you very much" I say happily
"Do you want to come in" I ask
"I would really like to but I have to go back because I have to start one of my classes soon. But I can come here after work if you want" he says
"Yes, I would if you want," I reply
"Okay so much for everything and see you later" I say and we say goodbye to each other
***a few hours later***
I have taken care of Noah and I have done my schoolwork
I feel a little warm so I go take off my shirt and start cleaning the kitchen
When the door rings, I go and open and Kai comes in "Hi" he says "Hi" I say and I and he goes into the kitchen
"How is Noah and how are you" he asks
"Noah like he was in before he is still sick and I'm fine," I say
He kisses my forehead
"You're hot" he says
"Thank you" I say
"No not like that and yes like that but like your warm" he says
"Have you had a temp" he asks
"No, I don't have that" I say and do it and I he also has a fever
/ I don't know how to describe but she and Noah are sick for a few days and they are back in kindergarten and college/
Noah and I have been grocery shopping and Noah and I are playing in his room when the door knocks
I go and open the door and I freeze
There is our mother who left us 3 years ago after giving birth to Noah
She walks into my apartment
"Hey how have you been" she says like she didn't just show up from abandoning us
"No you can't just show up after you abandoned us after you gave birth to Noah and left me and Emma to fend for ourselves, and raise Noah" I yell
"You could just give him up for adoption," she says
I'm in shock how can she say that about him
"No because I actually love him and I've been taking care of him for 3 years and-" I scream before Noah enters
"Mom how is this" he asks, looking confused at "mom"
She looks very angry
"Can you go to your room I have to talk to her a bit first" I say and Noah goes to his room
Mom slaps my face "how dare he call you his mom" she says
"Y-You hit me" I say in shock
Third Person POV:
Noah goes and hides so mom and the lady can't see him
then he sees how the woman hits his mom so he goes to his room where he's mom had her phone and calls Kai
"Hello" says Kai
"A lady hit mom," says Noah, crying
"Noah are you home" Kai asks
"Yes, the lady hit her and mom yelled at her and then the lady hit mom," says Noah
"Okay, I'll be right where you are okay," Kai says
"O-Okay" Noah says
**Kai's pov***
I'm with my sister when Alice calls and I answer and it's Noah calling and he's crying
**after he talked to Noah**
"I have to go now, come" he says with a worried face
My sister and I arrive at Alice's apartment and I run up to the apartment
There stands Alice and a woman
I go into Noah's room and he is sitting on the floor crying.
When he sees me he runs up to me and I pick him up and I go out to the living room where Alice and the woman are
"Where are you going with him?" says the woman
"I'll take him away from this," I say and walk past them to my little sister who is outside
"Noah, can you stay here with my little sister for a while in the car, I'm just going to help you mom, okay" I say to him and he nods.
I go up to the apartment again and now they are both shouting at each other
"You are so ungrateful you bitch" I hear before the woman goes in to hit Alice and I take her arm
"You have to go out NOW" I say with anger in my voice
"You don't tell me what to do" she says and take her arm back
I stand next to Alice and a little in front of her to protect her
"But I decide what you do and Get out of my apartment before I call the police" says Alice and the woman huffs and goes out and bangs the door when she closes it
As soon as the woman leave's, Alice begins to sink to the floor and breaks down and begins to cry
I put my arms around her and I do so we sit on the floor
"What happened" I ask
"It was my mother" she says over and over again
