The Twin Goddesses

Chapter Eight

Clint runs after me and picks me up, carrying me towards the kitchen. "Put me down!" I yelp, smacking his shoulder.

He laughs, shaking his head as Lila follows after us. "Why are you holding her like that daddy?"

Not stopping Clint says, "Because I love her."

"Oh okay daddy." Lila says and skips back into the room.

He carries me into the kitchen and sets me on the counter top before he goes to the fridge and pulls out eggs, sausage and bacon. Then he grabs a bowl and preheats the oven to 350. I grab the eggs and start cracking them while he grabs a cookie sheet. Placing the bacon on the cookie sheet he placed it in the preheated oven. Setting a timer for thirteen minutes as he grabs the skillet. He starts cooking the sausage as I grab another skillet and start cooking a small batch of scrambled eggs.

I kiss his cheek before walking towards the room. "Lila, Cooper, Dra, Kate how do you want me to cook your eggs? I made scrambled eggs. I can boil eggs, make them over medium. Whatever y'all want."

Lila peeps her head out of the door separating Em and I's room, quickly scanning the room and landing her eyes on Em. "Scrambled please." Then disappearing back into Em's room.

"Sunnyside up for me please, Vaktmester."

Kate and Dra exchange the same look before agreeing with Cooper. I nod and  head back to the kitchen to finish up lunch. I start the Sunnyside up eggs first as I grab the plates, forks and knives out to start setting the table. Clint grabs the glasses and fills them up halfway with ice. After he finishes filling the glasses I help him put them on the table.

I jump towards the stove and flip the Sunnyside eggs. Clint grabs the bacon out of the oven before grabbing a serving bowl, lining it with paper towels and placing the bacon in the bowl. I grab the platter and place the Sunnyside up eggs onto it next to the scrambled eggs.

Ten minutes and a dozen eggs later I'm wiping my brow with a damp rag. Clint wraps his arms around me.

"I love you Em." He whispers into my ear.

"I love you too Elskan. I need to call them for lunch."

He turns me around and kisses me passionately. I wrap my arms around his neck and we continue until I hear Thor clear his throat.

"Hi brother." I say after I pull away. "Joining us for lunch?"

"No. But I flew by and saw you. Stop doing that in public." He says before marching outside to the deck and flying off.

"ᚨᛊᛊᚺᛟᛚᛖ" (asshole) I mutter. "Guys lunch is ready! Come eat while it's hot."

Lila and Cooper come running out of the respective rooms. Cooper runs to Clint while Lila rushes to me while Dra and Kate also come out.

"Gods this smells good." Dra says.

"Well I've been claimed." I giggle as I grab Lila's outstretched hand. "It does look good." I say as Lila and I walk to the table.

Clint pulls out my chair while I pull Lila onto my lap and Cooper sits in between his dad and I. Clint pulls another chair, in case Lila decides to sit next to me instead of on my lap. Indra sits next to Kate on the other side of the chair meant for Lila. Then I hear the elevator open and Bucky and Steve walk in.

"Steve has something he wants to say."

I look between Clint and Dra, barely managing to contain my fire. "What do you want, Steven?" He flinches at my use of his full first name.
