As Riki and Jungwon's lips met in a tender kiss, the darkness beyond the lake's edge stirred. Kaito's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed on the lovers with an unnerving intensity.
Riki's father, the clan leader, stood beside Kaito, his expression twisted in a scowl. "They're a disgrace," he spat. "Riki's betrayal will not be tolerated."
Kaito's smile grew, his eyes glinting with malice. "Leave Riki to me," he whispered. "I'll bring him back to his senses."
