Remember Me

Part 1

Do Kyungsoo clutched the video camera tighter in his hand. 

He captured the wide beach in front of his eyes; the waves, children laughing, teens building sand castles, tourists taking pictures, families eating together. Everything fits to his perfect view of the summer. Kyungsoo grinned as he looked back at his childhood best friend, Byun Baekhyun, who is quietly sitting on the sand with his legs crossed. 

"Baek! This is amazing!" Kyungsoo laughed. "I want to just never forget all of these! Ever!" 

Baekhyun smiled and stood up to take the video camera from his friend as soon as he saw the red light blinking. He handed Kyungsoo his notebook with slight grin. "You have to remember this day, okay? Try." he said as Kyungsoo took the black notebook from his hand. 

Sighing, Kyungsoo sat on the sand with a ballpen against his lower lip. "What would I write today?" he asked no one in particular. Glancing at the blinking light, Baekhyun just shrugged as he continued taking videos, probably deciding to drain the camera's battery power. Even a fat guy snoring beside a surf board took Baekhyun's attention. 

As he looked down at his note, Do Kyungsoo can't help but smile.

Baekhyun took me to the beach. (see video camera) 

I decided to wear a The 1975 t-shirt and light brown beach shorts.

Everything is just beautiful. I can smell grilled fish and burger patties from my position right now on the sand. Baekhyun is holding the camera right now, recording everything else before the battery dies. I like to eat spaghetti today. Or seafood, like grilled squid. 

I like the peace this place gives me. 

We are waiting for Chanyeol btw, Baekhyun's husband. We'll eat lunch together today.

"You finished?" Baekhyun suddenly asked as he settled beside Kyungsoo. Then he showed Kyungsoo the video camera. "Memory's full already and the battery's almost dead. Do you think we should transfer the old videos to your laptop now?"
