Remember Me

Part 2

The alarm sent Do Kyungsoo sitting straight up on bed. 

With a groan, he grabbed his phone and turned the alarm off. He looked around, his vision blurry from sleep. He tried to brush the sleep from his eyes as he slipped his feet off the bed, walking to the bathroom. He grabbed his towel from the rack beside his study table--- 

What the-- Where is my study table?

This made Kyungsoo's eyes go wide and he looked around, an unfamiliar place welcoming him. The carpeted floor made Kyungsoo jerk back in fright. Even the flat screen TV is not his! 

"W-where am I?" Kyungsoo whispered in a trembling voice. 

He ran to the door, opening it too forcefully. Outside, he was welcome by an old couple walking down the hallway. They looked at Kyungsoo with curiosity before they continued on their way, shaking their heads in amusement. Kyungsoo looks like someone kidnapped.

Kyungsoo retracted back to his room, his arms and legs trembling. 

He looked around the room one more time with fearful eyes. 

It is a hotel room, he finally concluded upon seeing a key on his beside table with a room number attached to it. He tried to look around, trying to find something familiar. Something that could bring some memories back. He went to grab his phone, maybe contact Baekhyun and help him get out of this place. 

But when he's about to get his phone, a black notebook caught his attention. It's his notebook, of course. It's the one he uses at work. 

He grabbed it from the bed and flipped the thick cover into the first page. The writing is not his and he's sure who owns the clean and fine handwriting on the page. And that made him really curious. Why would his best friend write something on his notebook?

December 20, 2014 

The accident gave him a big scar at the back of his head. Some scratches on his arms and legs. Fortunately, the driver who sent Kyungsoo flying down the street was caught. The doctor came in today, saying that Kyungsoo is suffering from short-term memory loss. 

This is Byun Baekhyun and I am writing this to remind Kyungsoo everything. Starting today.
