UConn vs Texas game
Rory was very nervous it was the day. The day Rory was flying to UConn with her team to play against there volleyball team. Rory wasn't nervous about the game. She was nervous that her family and friends would be at the game. Rory has worked so hard for the starting position but she won't know if it paid off until 2pm At Gampel.
It was 5am and Texas was on the flight to Connecticut. Ayden is sitting next to Lorelia on the plane Ayden smiles " are you excited your first game as a long horn" Rory nods " everything we've been training for is coming to reality" Ayden smiles and nods " we should get some sleep we have to be energized for the game"
They arrived in Connecticut at 10am. They went straight to Gampel. Rory wasn't going back to Texas until the next day at 10pm so she could spend extra time with Morgan. Rory had her Texas gear on with her grey Apple headphones her hair was in two braids with buns. Rory walked into Gampel and saw UConn's Women Basketball Team starting at them.
Rory walked past them like she didn't know them
she couldn't say hi until after the game. She gave them a smile most of them returned it.
Rory goes to the athletic trainer Rory still has her headphones on. After the athletic trainer Rory goes into the gym room and stretch for the game. Rory hears a group of people walking by while she was listening to music. Rory turns around to see the UConn girls again.
KK smiles " hey girl pop" Rory smiles " hiii KK" Paige raises her eyebrow " what are you doing in here" Rory laughs " I'm just warming up I do lots of exercises to make sure I'm all good" they all nod she then hears Ayden yelling "LORELIAAA" Ayden is laughing but turns to see the UConn team staring at her along with a brunette who was giving her the death glare.
Ayden nervously smiles " Rory we have to pepper and warm up now" Rory nods " okay A we're peppering together" Ayden nods " do you want me to wait for you" Rory nods " yes please A I'll be one sec" Rory gives the UConn girls a look " I have to go I'll see you later"
Ayden jumps on Rory back and Rory carries Ayden "your a baby A" Ayden smiles " I know my mom says the same thing" Rory rolls her eye " I can't wait to tell Mrs.Ames that her daughter is bad" Ayden gives her a look " she won't believe you" Rory nods " sure Ayden sure"
Morgan rolls her eyes " why are they so clingy with each other" Paige laughs " that's Ayden I met her at espys she really good at volleyball and nothing you have to worry about Morgan" Morgan nods Aubrey puts her arm around Morgan's shoulder " calm down Morgan let's go watch a volleyball game"
They go into the gym to see Rory passing with Ayden
They sat down in the front row they basically had court side seats. Texas then had the court to themselves so the hitters got into hitting lines and started hitting. While the liberos and Defense specialist were near the UConn girls basketball team next to the seats. There coach is giving them hard hits and tips but Rory was last to go. Coach looked at Rory and smirked " I'm gonna make this hard for you" Rory smiles and nods. Rory goes after every ball getting a good touch on all of them once she was done she started serving with the rest of her team.
The game was going to start in a few minutes when Coach Elliot called Rory. Rory ran over to Coach Elliot " you're going to be starting libero today show me what've you got kid" Rory smiles and nods " I won't let you down coach" Coach Elliot smiles the national anthem played and the girls swung arms. Once the national anthem was over they got in there positions. Texas had first serve luckily. Rory smiled and went up to Avery " you got this"
They gave each other high fives and then Avery got ready to serve. Rory slapped Ayden butt Ayden turned around and shook her head. It was now Rory's turn to serve. The screen was on her she took a deep breath and served acing UConn.
Once they were in the huddle they said A C E ace ace. She then heard cheers from her teammates telling her to do it again. Rory did the same serving routine and aced UConn again. Rory did a spin celebrating her performance. Madison pushed Rory in a teammate way.
Rory the went to serve again and UConn got it up and hit the ball at Rory but Rory got the ball up with no problem. Ella set the ball to Madison and Madison got a kill. Rory did another spin and patted Madison's back. Rory server again and Emma shanked the ball but Rory wasn't giving up on the ball since they only needed one more point.
Rory got the ball but she ran into Paige and KK they luckily caught her. Rory smiles " thanks guys" as she ran back to the court. They got the point and everyone was hyping up Rory. Texas won the scrimmage 3-0. Rory got changed and was walking out with Ayden.
She saw the UConn team waiting for her Ayden sighed " I'll see you back in Texas Rory" Rory nods
" see ya in Texas A" Rory blowed Ayden a kiss
Ayden shook her head and pointed behind her. Rory tilted her head and turned around to see Morgan standing over her. Rory smiled and gave Morgan a hug " Hii Morgan you need to meet my friend Ayden AYDENNN"
Ayden turned around and walked back to Rory. Ayden smiled " hey guys it's nice to meet you I've heard a lot about you guys" KK nods " good things I hope" Ayden laughs " of course" Paige shakes her head " you being taller than me will never sit right with me" Ayden smiles " I'd get used to it" KK laughs " I like you"
Ayden looks at Morgan and widens her eyes " Rory I think I should get going duty calls" Rory shakes her head " no you have like 10 more minutes before you have to leave" Ayden shakes her head and motions her head toward Morgan " I think I should go"
Rory shakes her head
" Morgan isn't it so funny that you and Ayden are freshman" Morgan raises her eyebrow " no it's actually really normal" Rory slaps Morgan arm Morgan makes a face and says ow. Ayden sighs " do you guys like country" the team gives Ayden a side eye Ashlyn smiles " I love country" Ayden smiles
" you guys should see Rory at country concerts she's fun there"
KK laughs " what do you mean by fun" Ayden sighs
" she's the life of the party talks to everyone drinks nothing remembers everything" Rory nods " you've got to make new friends" Ayden laughs " yeah she's very social" Rory gives Ayden a look " Ayden has to go bye Ayden see you in Texas" Ayden laughs and says goodbye to everyone.
Rory is in Morgan's dorm cuddling with her Morgan is looking down at Rory. " Rory you did amazing today" Rory smiles " thank you I try my hardest"
Morgan sighs " do you ever think about life outside of volleyball" Rory nods " yes of course I do I want a house with 2 kids 2 dogs I want to name my kids codi and Reese"
Morgan laughs " why codi and Reese" Rory smiles
" codi is like another sister to me I'm happy I met her and she's basically my daughter. Reese is just a name I love" Morgan nods " what's Codis last name" Rory sat up from the hug and gave Morgan a weird look " why does that matter morg" Morgan shakes her head " I just remember a Codi Jackson commenting on instagram" Rory nods " yeah that's her" Morgan nods " let's go to sleep pretty girl" Rory nods they fall asleep cuddling with each other
