June X782
After months of relentless training and newfound strength, Lucy felt a pull to return to the Heartfilia Manor. She needed to reconnect with her past and pay her respects to her parents. As she approached the grand estate, memories of her childhood flooded back, both joyful and painful.
Walking through the overgrown garden, she made her way to the secluded area where her parents were buried. The graves were marked with elegant headstones, and Lucy knelt before them, her heart heavy with emotion.
"Hi, Mama. Hi, Papa," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "It's been a while. I've been training really hard, just like I promised. Rimuru... he helped me so much. He taught me magic, and I've grown stronger. I miss you both so much."
She paused, wiping away a tear. "I still remember that night. The fear, the anger. But now, I feel something else too. I feel hope. I feel strength. I swear, I will find those who did this to you, and I will make them pay."
'They would be proud of me,' she thought, placing a hand on each headstone. 'I've come so far, but there's still so much more to do.'
After spending some time in quiet reflection, Lucy stood up and made her way inside the manor. The halls echoed with silence, a stark contrast to the lively home it once was. She moved purposefully towards her parents' bedroom, a place filled with memories and cherished belongings.
Opening the door, she was met with the scent of lavender, her mother's favorite. The room was just as she remembered it, meticulously kept and full of warmth. She approached the ornate dresser, her eyes scanning the familiar trinkets and keepsakes.
"There it is," she whispered, spotting the celestial keys of Aquarius, Sagittarius, and a key she hadn't seen before. 'Mama's keys.'
Lucy reached out, her fingers trembling slightly as she picked up the keys. The cool metal felt reassuring in her hand, a connection to her mother's legacy.
"Open, Gate of the Water Bearer! Aquarius!" Lucy called softly, feeling a surge of energy.
Aquarius appeared, her presence commanding and slightly intimidating. "What do you want, brat?" she asked, though her tone lacked its usual harshness.
"Open, Gate of the Archer! Sagittarius!" Lucy continued.
Sagittarius appeared, his demeanor calm and collected. "Lady Lucy, it is an honor to serve you," he said with a respectful bow.
Lucy took a deep breath, holding the unfamiliar key. "And now... Open, Gate of the Crab! Cancer!"
Cancer appeared, his pincers snapping in anticipation. "Lucy-sama, how can I be of service?" he asked, his voice polite but eager.
Lucy looked at her three summoned spirits, her resolve clear. "I don't just want your help," she said firmly. "I want you to serve me as your owner. Will you?"
Aquarius raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Very well, brat. You've grown, and I respect that."
Sagittarius bowed again. "Of course, Lady Lucy. I am at your service."
Cancer snapped his pincers in agreement. "I serve you, Lucy-sama. Your strength and determination are admirable."
Lucy felt a surge of gratitude. "Thank you," she said, her voice steady. "I have one more thing to ask, Aquarius."
Aquarius crossed her arms, her usual stern expression softening slightly. "What is it, Lucy?"
"Do you know who killed my parents?" Lucy asked, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and desperation.
Aquarius looked taken aback by the sudden question. Her usually stern expression softened as she met Lucy's gaze. "Lucy, calm down," she began, her voice gentler than usual. "I know this is hard for you."
"Don't tell me to calm down!" Lucy snapped, her emotions boiling over. "Please, Aquarius, if you know something, tell me. I need to know who they are. I need to make them pay."
Aquarius sighed, her gaze turning distant. "I... I sensed something that night," she admitted reluctantly. "There was a dark presence, something powerful. But I couldn't identify who it was."
"Anything, Aquarius. Anything at all," Lucy pleaded, her heart pounding in her chest.
The water bearer spirit hesitated before continuing. "There were whispers in the celestial realm about a group of dark mages. They operate in the shadows, and their leader is said to wield immense power. I suspect they might be involved."
Lucy clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms. "Dark mages... Do you know where I can find them?"
"I'm afraid I don't know their exact location," Aquarius replied. "But I've heard rumors that they have a base somewhere in the east, deep within the forests."
'The east,' Lucy thought, determination hardening her resolve. 'That's where I need to go. I will find them, no matter what it takes.'
"Thank you, Aquarius," she said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her. "I'll find them. I'll avenge my parents."
Aquarius placed a hand on Lucy's shoulder, her touch surprisingly comforting. "Be careful, Lucy. They are dangerous, and I don't want to see you get hurt."
"I won't back down," Lucy replied, her eyes fierce. "Not now. Not ever."
She turned to Sagittarius and Cancer. "Sagittarius, Cancer, will you help me too?"
"Of course, Lady Lucy," Sagittarius said with a bow. "I will stand by your side and assist you in any way I can."
Cancer nodded, snapping his pincers. "You can count on me, Lucy-sama."
"Thank you," Lucy said, her heart swelling with gratitude for her celestial spirits. "With your help, I know we can do this."
'I will find you,' she thought, her resolve solidifying into an unbreakable vow. 'And when I do, you will pay for what you've done.'
She looked around the room one last time, a bittersweet smile on her face. "Mama, Papa, I'm going to make you proud. I promise."
Lucy left the room, the celestial keys clutched tightly in her hand. Each step she took echoed through the empty halls of the Heartfilia Manor, a stark reminder of the life that had once filled these walls. As she walked, she thought of her parents and the love they had shared, a love she now carried forward in her heart.
Reaching the front door, she paused, turning back for one last look. The manor, with all its memories, stood as a silent witness to her journey.
'This place will always be a part of me,' she thought, her resolve hardening with each passing moment. 'But I can't stay here. There's too much to do.'
Stepping outside, she made her way back to the garden where her parents' graves lay. The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden glow over the headstones. Lucy knelt down, placing a hand on each grave once more.
"Hi again, Mama, Papa," she said softly, her voice carrying the weight of her emotions. "I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave. I've got your keys, Mama. They will help me stay strong."
She paused, taking a deep breath. "I promise, I'll keep training hard. I'll find those dark mages and make them pay for what they did. I'll protect the people I care about, just like you taught me."
Her eyes filled with tears, but she blinked them away, focusing on the strength she had gained. "I love you both so much. I hope you're watching over me, guiding me. I'll make you proud."
Standing up, she looked at the graves one last time. "Goodbye, for now," she whispered. "I won't forget you. And I won't give up."
With that, she turned and walked away, her heart heavy but her resolve unbroken. As she left the Heartfilia Manor behind, she knew that she carried her parents' spirit with her, a guiding force in her quest for justice and peace.
'This is just the beginning,' she thought, her steps firm and determined. 'I will find them, and I will bring them to justice. For you, Mama and Papa. For everyone.'
