Lucy’s journey began at dawn, her silhouette stark against the rising sun as she left the training grounds behind. The road ahead was long and uncertain, but her determination was unwavering. Every step she took echoed with purpose and resolve.

As she walked through the countryside, Lucy's mind was a whirl of thoughts and memories. 'I will find them. I will avenge you, Mama and Papa,' she thought, her grip tightening on the celestial keys. The path to the east was fraught with danger, but she felt ready.

Reaching the town of Selwyn at the edge of the Eastern Badlands, she decided to gather information. She approached an elderly woman sitting outside her home, knitting.

"Excuse me," Lucy said politely. "Do you know anything about dark mages operating in the eastern forests?"

The woman looked up, her eyes narrowing with concern. "Dark mages, you say? Yes, there have been rumors. People have seen strange lights and heard unsettling noises coming from deep within the forest. It's said to be a dangerous place."

"Thank you," Lucy replied, bowing slightly. "I appreciate your help."

The old woman nodded, watching Lucy with a mix of worry and curiosity as she continued on her way.

As she ventured further, the landscape grew wilder, the air thicker with an ominous sense of foreboding. She paused by a stream to refill her water flask, her thoughts racing. 'I need to be prepared for anything. Rimuru taught me well, but I must stay vigilant.'

She continued on, eventually reaching the edge of the Forbidden Forest. The trees loomed tall and menacing, their branches twisted like skeletal hands. Taking a deep breath, she stepped into the shadows.

Hours passed as she trekked through the dense forest. The air grew colder, the shadows deeper. Suddenly, a group of figures emerged from the trees, cloaked in darkness.

"There they are," Lucy whispered, her heart pounding. "The dark mages."

One of the figures stepped forward, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Well, well, what do we have here? A little girl wandering into our territory?"

Lucy's eyes narrowed, her anger flaring. "You murdered my parents. I'm here to make you pay."

The dark mage laughed, a chilling sound. "You think you can defeat us? You're just a child."

"You'll soon regret underestimating me," Lucy replied, her eyes blazing with determination. "For my parents' sake, I will make you pay."

With a fierce battle cry, she charged at the dark mages, her strength and training guiding her every move. The clash of magic and steel filled the air as she fought with all her might, her every move driven by the memory of her parents and the promise she made to them.

'This is for you, Mama and Papa,' she thought, her attacks growing more ferocious. 'I will avenge you.'

The dark mages attacked first, hurling spells of darkness and fire. Lucy dodged and countered with a precision born of rigorous training. Her fists and feet moved in a deadly dance, striking down her enemies with relentless force.

One mage, trying to flee, was pinned to a tree by Lucy’s swift kick. She approached, her eyes cold and unrelenting. "Tell me who killed Jude and Layla Heartfilia," she demanded, her voice low and menacing.

The mage whimpered, trying to pull free. "I don't know! I swear!" he cried, tears streaming down his face.

"Lies!" Lucy shouted, her fury boiling over. She grabbed him by the collar and lifted him off the ground. "Tell me, or you will suffer."

The mage shook his head frantically, terror in his eyes. "Please, I don't know!"

Lucy's face twisted with rage. She pummeled him, each strike a release of her pent-up anger and sorrow. Blood sprayed, bones cracked, but still, the mage gave her nothing. Finally, she delivered a fatal blow, his body going limp in her grasp.

She dropped him, breathing heavily, her hands covered in blood. 'None of them will talk,' she thought, frustration gnawing at her. 'But I have to keep trying.'

She turned to the last mage, who was already trembling with fear. "You have one chance," she said, her voice icy. "Tell me who killed my parents, or face the same fate."

The mage fell to his knees, sobbing. "I don't know, I don't know!" he wailed. "We're just following orders, and I don't even know who Jude and Layla Heartfilia are!"

"From whom?" Lucy demanded, her patience wearing thin.

"I... I don't know his name," the mage stammered. "He never showed his face. We are just a part of his organization, Dark Vortex. Please, spare me!"

Lucy's eyes narrowed, her grip tightening on her celestial key. "Oh, I see. Thank you. Now die," she said coldly. She raised her fist and brought it down with brutal force, ending his life instantly.

She stood there, panting, the blood of her enemies pooling at her feet. The forest was silent once more, the battle over.

"Lucy," she whispered to herself, her voice trembling with a mix of exhaustion and rage. "But I will be. This isn't over. I will find Dark Vortex and kill them all. I promise you, Mama, Papa, I will."
