As the echoes of the dragons' fading voices lingered in the chamber, Solara, the Sun Demon Dragon, turned its wise gaze towards Natsu. "What about you, Natsu Dragneel? Would you like to inherit the power of the Sun Demon Dragon?"

Natsu, ever the eager learner when it came to new powers, tilted his head curiously. "How long would it take to learn it?"

Solara chuckled, a warm, comforting sound. "With our assistance, it will take only three days. As spirits, we can merge a fragment of our souls with yours. This way, you will quickly master the Dragon Slaying Magic of the Sun Demon."

Natsu's eyes widened, excitement flickering in his expression. "Three days? That’s it?" He turned to Lucy and Happy, a grin spreading across his face. "Sounds like a good deal to me!"

Before he could get another word in, Frostbane, the Ice Demon Dragon, addressed Happy, who was fluttering nervously by Natsu's side. "And you, little one? Would you like to gain the power of the Ice Demon Dragon?"

Happy's eyes nearly popped out of his head in shock. "A-Aye! Me? A Dragon Slayer?" He stammered, his tiny wings flapping in a frenzy. "That sounds... amazing, but... terrifying!"

Lucy watched the exchange with a soft smile. Her eyes met Natsu's, and she saw the familiar fire of determination in his gaze. She knew he would want to accept the dragons' offer. Stepping forward, she placed a reassuring hand on Natsu's arm. "Go for it, Natsu. Happy too. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance."

Natsu grinned wider, clearly excited by the prospect. "Are you sure, Lucy? It means we’d have to leave you alone for three days."

Lucy’s eyes softened, and she gave him a confident smile. "I can handle myself. Besides, I need some time to think... and rest." Her voice was gentle, understanding the depth of Natsu's eagerness and her own need for reflection after the intense battle.

Then, without thinking, she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. It was a brief, tender moment that caught both of them by surprise. As she pulled back, Lucy's eyes widened, realizing what she had just done. A flush spread across her cheeks, and she quickly looked away, trying to compose herself. "W-What am I doing?" she muttered, her voice barely a whisper.

Natsu stood frozen, his face slowly turning a deep shade of red. He touched the spot where Lucy had kissed him, utterly bewildered. "L-Lucy... what was that?" he stammered, his heart racing.

Happy, breaking the stunned silence, burst into a fit of laughter, clutching his tiny belly. "Natsu and Lucy sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" he sang, his laughter echoing through the chamber.

Lucy shot Happy a flustered glare, her face burning with embarrassment. "Happy!" she squeaked, trying to maintain some semblance of dignity. But the cat's teasing only made her blush harder.

Natsu, still recovering from the shock, finally managed a sheepish grin. He rubbed the back of his neck, his voice awkward yet sincere. "I guess... it’s settled then. We’ll take the dragons' offer. But, uh, Lucy, you... you really don’t mind waiting here?"

Lucy nodded, trying to suppress her embarrassment and focus on the task at hand. "Of course not. You two go and get stronger. I’ll be here, waiting for you." She smiled, her eyes full of encouragement. "Just make sure you come back in one piece."

Natsu’s grin returned, this time filled with determination. "You bet! We’ll be back before you know it, and even stronger than before!"

Happy flapped his wings excitedly. "Aye, sir! We’ll be the best dragon slayers ever!"

Solara and Frostbane exchanged a knowing glance, their forms shimmering with a soft, ethereal glow. "Then it’s decided," Solara said, its voice carrying a sense of finality. "We will begin the process. Natsu, Happy, prepare yourselves. This will be a journey of great power and responsibility."

Frostbane's icy presence filled the room as he added, "Remember, the power you receive is not just for fighting, but for protecting what is precious to you. Use it wisely."
