AEREA JUST WANTED HER MOTHER...

That was it.

But no, her mother is dead, at the hands of the man who defiled her...

She couldn't breathe as she held herself.

Helaena watched her carefully with a sympathetic look on her face.

They awaited Aemond's arrival.

But he did not come for hours.

That's when they brought in a crate.

"What is that?" Aerea asked shakily.

The soldiers just bowed their head and left after putting the crate down.

Helaena grabbed her arm stopping her from going near it, "perhaps... You shouldn't..."

"Why?" Aerea asked, "what could be worse than what already has happened?"

Helaena just let her go.

Aerea opens the crate and a smell came from it...

She froze as she opened it completely...

"Mother... No..."

She whispers gripping the crate, "mother..."

She collapsed next to her as she shook her head... How could they bring her the body of her mother? Was this Aemond's order?

She knew him to be a monster but she never expected him to do this.

She held her swollen belly as she cried...

Helaena inches closer, her hands touching her chest, breathing heavily...

"Aerea, are you-"

"Leave me..."

Helaena looks down as she knew that's what Aerea wanted but was it truly a good idea?

She began to walk to the door before she stopped, looking back at Aerea crying by herself, she knew Aemond wouldn't provide any comfort when he came back... If anything he will make this worse. She nods to herself.

Aerea sobs when suddenly a hand touches her shoulder, a gentle touch, she looks up at Helaena.

Helaena sits next to her as she pulls her closer.

Aerea just hugged her, not wanting to let it out, but she knew she couldn't hold in grief... Not anymore.

"It's almost over," Helaena gently shushes her rocking her.

Aerea buries her face in her shoulder.

"It's almost over..."

Aerea had no idea what that meant but she just heeded the comfort she was getting.

That's when Aemond walks in.

"My Queen," he addresses Helaena rather coldly.

Helaena let go of her as Aerea shrinks away afraid of what he'd do.
