"So, how was it at Annabeth's place?" Sally asked as Percy got in the passengers seat next to her.
Percy dumped his bag down below his feet and shut the car door before hiding his face in his hands. Sally looked to Percy, furrowing her eyebrows.
"D-did everything go well?" Sally questioned.Percy took a deep breath and he smiled as he took his hands away from his face and looked at his mom.
"Annabeth and I kissed and now we're going on a date next week. She's letting me plan it." Percy said, meeting his mother's gaze.
Sally blinked.
"You kissed her? Wow, and here I thought you'd be embarrassed to tell your mother about your first kiss!" Sally exclaimed, smiling at her son.
"Actually, she kissed me." Percy corrected his mother."She's... yep, Annabeth is... great. If she wasn't so forward, I'm sure I would've messed it up!"
Percy grabbed his seat belt and he strapped himself in. Sally smiled as she kept her gaze on Percy for a moment."So, do you want help planning this date?"
"Oh, uh definitely. Mom, I desperately need your help to plan this date."
"Pfft, okay, you wanna talk to me about what happened while we drive back home?"
"Sure! Okay! So-!"Percy began to ramble as Sally drove off now and she listened intently to her son as she drove the car.
Sally was happy for her son. I mean, he had met his soulmate and they were now going on a date. Sally had everything what she wanted for Percy to come true, and she was grateful that the world didn't give Percy a cruel fate like she was given.

"Wait, wait, wait, so you two are going on a date next weekend?" Luke clarified over the phone with Annabeth.
"Mmhm!" Annabeth hummed, pacing back and forth in her room. "And I kissed him! Isn't that crazy? Then again, he did say that he cherished and loved me, so maybe Percy is moving faster than I am but-""HAHA! LUKE YOU OWE ME TEN DOLLARS!!"
"Seriously?! We're gonna do this now?!"
"If I didn't cut off Annie, she would've kept going about how quickly she and Percy are moving."
"... Good point."
"Wha-? Hey!"Despite Luke and Thalia caring more about their bet, Annabeth was happy. She and Percy were going out on a date. This was officially one of the best days of her life.
