"Hey!" Percy smiled at Annabeth as he opened the front door to the apartment.
"Hey." Annabeth smiled back at her boyfriend. Percy stepped aside, letting Annabeth inside.
"My mom isn't home, she's having some time to herself somewhere. It's just gonna be the two us." Percy said as he shut the door while Annabeth slipped her shoes off once she was inside."Mmhm, right, and she trusts that we won't burn the apartment building down?"
"My mom trusts us a lot! Well... you more than me with baking alone in the apartment together-"
"Pfft, alright dork, let's get started."Annabeth and Percy made their way to the kitchen. Percy grabbed some aprons and he handed Annabeth one. Annabeth put it over her head and Percy also put his on, tying it behind.
"So, I see you have everything prepared." Annabeth said, looking at the counter as she tied her hair up into a ponytail and to ensure no loose strands of hair would get in the way.
"Of course! I had to make sure we had everything." Percy said, watching as Annabeth tied her hair up."Did you tie the apron?"
"Erm, do I have to?" Annabeth questioned.
"... Well, it'd be better for you." Percy shrugged, going over behind Annabeth.
Annabeth glanced over her shoulder as Percy tied the apron from behind.
"Good? Too tight?" Percy asked as he tightened the strings.
"Mmh, fine." Annabeth said, feeling her stomach fill with butterflies as Percy tied her apron.Percy clapped his hands as he went over to the sink.
"Right! Wash our hands and we can get started!" Percy smiled over at Annabeth.
Percy then turned on the tap and he quickly washed his hands, he stepped aside after washing them, letting Annabeth wash her own hands as he went to get a paper towel to dry his hands off. Annabeth washed her hands off quickly and she dried them off once she turned off the tap.Annabeth looked to Percy as Percy went over to the ingredients he had out.
"Alright, let's put all the dry ingredients into one bowl first!" Percy exclaimed, smiling at Annabeth.
Annabeth went over next to Percy and Percy began to guide her through it.*****
Percy let out a soft sigh as he placed the baking pan full of brownie batter into the oven and he shut it. Percy leaned against the counter and Annabeth sighed as she took her hair out of a ponytail and she ruffled her hair once she took out the bobble.
"So, how long do we have to wait?" Annabeth asked, looking at Percy as Percy began to undo his apron.
"Forty to forty-five minutes." Percy shrugged, taking off his apron.Percy scrunched up the apron and set it aside on the counter. Annabeth went over to him and she pointed to her apron. Percy smiled as he went over behind Annabeth and undid her apron for her.
"Who knew that the wisest girl in our year needed help with her apron?" Percy questioned as he lifted the apron up and took it off of Annabeth.
Percy scrunched up the apron and set it on top of where he set his apron.
"I don't bake often, thank you. And when I do, I don't do it with an apron." Annabeth said, looking at Percy.Percy hummed and he leaned against the counter, crossing his arms as he faced Annabeth.
"Soo~ what will we do while we wait for the brownies?" Percy asked, tilting his head at Annabeth.
"Well, how do you feel about me talking more about Greek mythology?" Annabeth asked, going over and standing in front of Percy."... Can I get a couple of kisses every now and then?" Percy raised an eyebrow.
"... You're a dork, sure, Percy." Annabeth said, gently cupping Percy's face.
Percy smiled as he leaned in while Annabeth reached up. Their lips locked together and they shared a sweet short kiss.Annabeth pulled away and she smiled.
"Alright! So, let's talk about-!" Annabeth began.
Percy smiled, listening intently to Annabeth as she began to ramble about her knowledge on Greek mythology to Percy, like she did when they first met.---------------------------------------------------------
